A Unique Vision I Trust
I was immediately drawn to Dr. Mercola Biodynamic Organic Tulsi Holy Basil because I am familiar Dr. Mercola. He is a well-known osteopathic physician, and an alternative medicine enthusiast whose vision I trust. So I was anxious to try this organic supplement that comes in a dark glass bottle, which is a sign of a superior product. The dark glass protects the product and all and all it is much healthier than a plastic bottle that are commonly used. This supplement contains 60 tablets with a serving size of 2. This is a fascinating supplement that I have begun taking and although the benefits are not specifically listed on the product it is of the finest quality and it has enhanced my wellbeing. I am going to be on the lookout for other products of his.

did nothing
Upset my stomach and left an unpleasant taste. Also turns out to be not highly rated for the compounds that are supposed to be important.

These are so good! I love my Dr. Mercola Biodynamic Organic Tulsi Holy Basil! They are USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, and Soy Free. This is a 30 day supply of Tulsi Basil. These supplements have many benefits. They are a great value for the money! This natural product is easy to store in my pantry. The gel coating is superior. It allows for a slow release of the Holy Basil nutrients. These are is easy to swallow and do not have an after taste.

So far so good, but not completely convinced yet
Tulsi, or holy basil, has been used in ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. There has been some research done that suggests that it can reduce your cortisol levels rather significantly, and that definitely is of interest to me, and that is why I wanted to give it a try. So far I'm not sure that I'm observing the results I was hoping for, but I may not have taken enough or for long enough yet, so the jury is still out on that. I do like that the supplement is an amalgamation of the various forms of Tulsi that exist. The smell is very pleasant, like cloves, and the supplement is easy enough to take as long as you have some kind of liquid to down it with. The only reason I'm knocking off one star is because, even though it is certified organic, it doesn't appear to be third-party tested, and I'm not even entirely certain that it's been made in a GMP facility, since it doesn't say so on the bottle.Something completely unanticipated did happen with this supplement though, something I find quite interesting:Those of you that own cats probably know that while most go bonkers for catnip, there is a small percentage that is completely unaffected by it. My brother's kitty falls into that latter category. Catnip has never elicited even the slightest twitch of a whisker from her. Now catnip, as well as holy basil and even the basil that goes into your pesto, are all members of the mint, or Lamiaceae family. When I first opened the bottle of this supplement, I pulled out a big wad of cotton, which is very common in the tops of supplement bottles, and this cotton carried the clove like smell of the holy basil it had been stuffed into. I dropped the wad of cotton next to me without much thought and proceeded to examine the contents of my new bottle. Imagine my complete and utter surprise when I looked down next to me 5 minutes later and saw this creature writhing around in complete ecstasy -- she was stoned out of her mind! The wad of cotton had been torn into about 20 pieces, and surrounding fabrics had little claw punctures in them. She kept up her bug-eyed wiggling and wriggling for at least half an hour. I just found it pretty funny, but also rather fascinating. We're all individuals, with our own little quirks and differences...
