Ordered as a 'prop' to enhance a Murder Mystery Tour Birthday gift for a 21-year old.Great item, and the quality is surprising for the price.The hat is lined as described and made of a soft tweed material. Due to it's 'shallow' design (Deer Stalker), it is slightly on the large side - presumably to accommodate all shapes, sizes and ages of head! (better than being too small) as a few grips etc would secure it easily on a small head. The ear flaps can be laced up, left hanging down or secured under the chin. The pipe (dark version) - obviously plastic but of a good weight and size and the magnifying glass, alhough not great quality glass does actually magnify. A great fun item the for the price you cannot fault.I Contacted "I Love Fancy Dress" regarding delivery options. The representative was helpful and courteous. I ordered early afternoon on Thursday and it arrived on Saturday (no special delivery arrangements) Nice smooth transaction, easy to contact, good quality, good price. I was very happy to give this item to my granddaughter as part of the outfit, it's well made and good value for the money.

Arrived on time, thank god, almost got worried because paid Xpress Delivery but tracking was saying it would arrive on the day of the world book day, not a few days before as stated when ticked the Xpress Delivery option. The hat and magnifying glass as in the picture. Hat is a good fit for my 5 yrs old son, even I managed to wear it, magnifying glass was surprisingly solid, with some degree of magnification. The only disappointment is the color of the pipe. In the photo advertised, the shank/bowl is brown, a nice old style classic color but the pipe received in the parcel had an ivory shank/bowl. The reason I chose this supplier over others, was the color of the pipe, so yes, disappointed in their misleading advertising!

Such a fun item. We are having a charity day at work and I needed a hat. This is will fit the bill perfectly. The pipe is very real looking, the magnifying glass quite large and the hat tweedy and authentic looking. Bear in mind the style is a deerstalker hat so just sits above the ears(although I do have a large head ;-)

Broken, damaged box for the magnifying glass but otherwise good.

Like others have said well made deerstalker and sturdy pipe and magnifying glass. Only gripe is with delivery firm, package ripped, magnifying glass had been taken off its cardboard packaging so was loose (lucky to have not broken) and no delivery note left so only knew it had been delivered on checking Amazon after a week’s wait and had to look all over properly to see where it had been left.
