Rolson 59137 12 pc Wax Carver Set

Was not really expecting much at this price at just over 6 quid Inc p&p. That's under 50p a tool. Nice product, they seem well made, and of steel, could be anything though. But that's not an issue. Strong modelling tools, with a variety of ends to choose. What's not to like.

Just starting my new hobby of Monster Clay sculpting. I was looking for a nice set of stainless steel sculpting tools. This pack suits my needs a steal at only £9.99. Nice set of tools various shapes for getting different effects in the clay. Tools are just perfect for an absolute sculpting novice like me.No problems with buying or receiving processes.

Wax Carver Set, very impressive set made from quality metal, and heavily chromed, easy to use simple to clean and store away, very robust, great value for money

What a great set of tools. I am away from my studio at the moment and needed some wax tools urgently so i could carry on work and keep busy.Excellent range of tools.

After a few dud purchases for a decent clay carver set, I eventually took the plunge on this Rolson pack. When I was looking for a more diverse range of tools I found my eyes darting between this and the '12 piece stainless steel wax carver set' also available here on Amazon.The '12 Piece stainless steel...' at the time was slightly cheaper than this Rolson pack but they looked the same so why did I pay more for this set?After looking really carefully I actually noticed that while they both have similar tools the '12 piece' seemed to have a few more pointy tools. I simply don't need that many knife/dentistry ends. I want more smooth surfaces!The Rolson had a far more well rounded selection to me and when they arrived I wasn't disappointed!Each tool can be used in so many different ways, even the tools I didn't expect to touch have proven to invaluable and have helped me create a texture I would never have thought of!This Rolson set is stainless steel as such they are easy to grip, very light and easy to handle while also ensuring the clay never sticks to them.If there is a negative it is that some of the tools are not perfectly smooth (something I realise is quite impossible being that they are made of steel!).It also does not come with a case. Not a problem for me but something to make a note of if it matters to you.To summarise:A great varied tool set that can be used for more than just wax work! Very Happy and of course I recommend :)

good set of tools for working with wax - we really punished them cleaning out glue on a mosaic project - but they stood up remarkably well - we even sharpened them a couple of times. Excellent value

Perfect for micro filling in small areas and with small piece I use this to fill on small 3d prints
