Great Little Working Novelty
I really enjoyed how this turned out. It is fun to watch it run across floor and then you can have it put the "trash" in the bin.I am 83 years old and have found that these puzzles have kept my mind sharp and able to reason out what needs to be accomplished. This was the 12th wood puzzle I have assembled. Since the first one, I have taken greater care with the sanding and waxing of the gears. If you take the time to sand each part (no matter how small) and remove all of the little tabs where the part was attached to the part board, everything will work much better. The tabs may seem insignificant, but if you leave them on the part may not fit as snug as needed and result in a poor performance or look. I even sand the finished sides of each part to make sure they were smooth. When it comes to waxing the gears and necessary surfaces make sure to follow the instructions. If the part is not waxed properly, it will bind up and not function well.I also only work on the puzzle for about an hour or so a day, as my fingers get a little sore pushing the parts together. Because I take great care in getting the parts ready for assembly, it takes me longer than the stated time to assemble the puzzle. My main advice is to take your time and think of the puzzle as a piece of art that needs to be carefully created for future enjoyment.

Fun but not always easy
Fun to put together but not always easy. The spring was really hard to get in place. If you break a part beware. They do give some extra parts but it is costly if you have to replace a part.

i have now built around 25 different wood trick kits and the robot was once again well thought out
the gear box was amazing how it all fit and operated mine really moves quite well but sanding and waxing the parts are crucial and the markings on the gears need to be paid attention to

Temperamental model
I purchased this model for my granddaughter who loves complicated models. The spring unit caused problems from the start. It seemed that the wood model could not handle the stress of the spring. It caused stress and frustration for the builder. She worked for several hours and it still did not function properly.
