Satechi Bluetooth Remote Control, R2 Multimedia Remote Control in Presentation & Media Mode, for MacBook Air/Pro M4, iPad Air/Pro M4/M3, Not Compatible with Windows 10/11

Intuitive and easy to setup and use. The remote works perfect for my apple device to remotely control my sons phone I use with youtube as a sound machine. This allows me to remotely play/pause and raise or lower the volume.It would however be a nice feature to have a sleep function so the power button is not needed allowing to press the button of the remote to wake it up.The remote feels solid and well built, and I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a remote for an apple device such as an ipad or iphone!

I use this for one of my volunteer organizations where we regularly have guest speakers that present PowerPoints. I pair it with my 15" MacBook Air and it works great with Keynote, Google Slides, Preview, and PowerPoint. It's easy for guest speakers to pick up and intuitively use it, and the battery lasts a long time.

This is the 5th Bluetooth remote I bought from Satechi (from version-1 I guess to date R2 version in 2021). I'm extremely happy with Satechi products so far (baring few improvements suggested here)Now coming to review of R2 Satechi Bluetooth Remote Control:Pros:1. Overall quality of the material & product is awesome + it is very sturdy remote.2. Technical support is always great and so is the warranty by Satechi.3. Buttons on the remote have been redesigned and are very functional and handy.Cons (I would rather term this as improvements needed)1. USB-C charger cable length is extremely small and should be at minimum 3-6 ft.2. No charger provided in the package and the assumption by Satechi is that you will have the charger for a C-type cable.3. It only connects to 1 device at a time and that is why I have multiple remotes since I bought the first one in 2007-2008.4. Presenter doesn't work on LED, OLED TVs.5. Cost $$ is slighter on the higher side but quality comes at a price. So I can live with it.6. Slightly on the higher side with weight but acceptable due to its sturdiness.Thank you team @Satechi for making awesome products.Ashok

I have a 2022 IPad Pro (M2) and have been looking for a remote to help with travel use of my iPad while connecting the iPad to a hotel TV to remotely control the media apps. I tried everything from Apple native functions which are limited and I was hoping this remote would help.Unfortunately this is not the case. The remote easily paired to the iPad via Bluetooth however the functionality is limited to pause, play and volume up/down and mute.That sounds great but in practicality this still requires hands on iPad to switch apps, launch apps, control media streaming.Complete failure from that perspective.I Returned this device right away.

This is so sleek, i love how it feels on my hand. And most importantly it works perfect. I was using a Targus brand for my iPad before i discovered this brand, the difference is so noticeable. With this brand or model, when I’m doing a presentation on my iPad it goes at a pace i want. Unlike the other brand of presentation pointers that goes too fast. This is highly recommended. Oh, one more thing, being that it is Bluetooth and you don’t need to plug nothing on your computer or device, you are not just saving money buying batteries you are as well enjoying convenience.

Well made switches with excellent tactile feedback. Allows me to skip tracks while approaching sleep without having to look at a lighted screen. Having the volume control on this remote is easier than the iPhone buttons, also better for heading into sleep. Presentation mode works but not something I will use often. Battery charge lasts a very long time.

Pros: great build quality, tactile buttons, easy to navigate buttonsCons: this does not fully work with Keynote, which is why I bought itFeedback to Satechi: please modify product descriptions to say "limited" Keynote functionality. This remote could only change the volume, but couldn't start/stop slides, the 'Home' button didn't do anything, nor did any of the other buttons.

Had a good run. It charges and turns on but if it wasn’t previously paired with another device you might be out of luck like me, it functioned pretty well till the Bluetooth sync button just up and died, i took it apart but it’ll have to be serviced by someone else. If u don’t drop it, it’s very useful has a decent sleep mode to save the battery, very slick slippery will drop alot, easy to use, not durable. Nice simple design
