How long does the memory back up last?

Very long time. Rewritable flash memory.

One the pics says the line is 17cm long. It it really this short? Should that read 170cm?

I haven't measured it but it's definitely longer than 17cm, probably meant to say 17 inches maybe? It doesn't look as long as 170cm.

I set it up in normal temperature mode (on at 0c and stop at 16c but it turned itself off when 14c. no idea why.

The temp pick up is not 100% accurate and can vary if not in the correct position or where you want the temp controlling I got around this by using another temp meter and then setting this unit a little higher to reach the correct temp you require not the best but it's a way around the problem
