Works fine and easy to setup
My old Williamson-Thermoflo mini split AC remote was getting weaker to the point that it would only work at about 2 feet from the wall unit. After many battery changes did not fix the problem, and the manufacturer said no replacements were available, I tried this remote. WOW. In under 5 minutes it was up and running with the distance problem solved. It handles all of the original unit's functions. The fast setup feature was the way to go, since my brand was not listed on the list of codes. No worries, it was scanned and found in a matter of a minute. So the battle of the thermostat can now continue without any distance handicaps (I'm hot, I'm cold, etc, etc). And into the night as well with the backlight/flashlight feature. :-)Easy way to change from C to F display on the remote, with the AC on, remote showing C temperature, press and hold OK, until the F temperature is displayed. About 3 seconds. For example, when changing batteries the device code will be retained but the temperature will come up as C so need to use OK to get back to F. And of course set the time.

Works really well - when you figure out the code!
So there are two parts to the story.1. The instructions are awful. A vague reference on the battery cover to a "code table", which is still a mystery to me. It took me a few hours of playing around to figure it out. There are 999 possible codes; how are you supposed to find yours???I finally figured out that you need to hold down the "set" button until it blinks. Then press the up/down button until it starts going through the codes automatically. Switch on your AC manually, and when your AC code is reached, it will automatically shut off. (Note: The codes on the remote will continue running, so you need to be pretty quick and figure out the range of the codes where it shut off the AC, and then narrow it down to yours).2. Now that I got it working, it actually does a fantastic job! IT controls the various modes, fan speeds, temperature etc. I think it's a very good buy for the price, especially since such replacements usually run in the $30s.

Didn't work.
I checked my ac model and it was compatible with this remote. Instructions were easy to follow and despite my efforts entering all the codes manually and also doing a scan it didn't work. I tried both ways and neother worked. I missed my return window. Now I'm stuck with crappy flashlight which was a cool feature to this remote. Don't recommend.

I rarely leave reviews
This remote is one of the best universal remotes I've ever seen. It works for all air conditioning units, I am so glad I bought it. It was very easy to set up it comes with the manual inside and the number that your AC response to is normally the Brand number that is also written in the manual. Mine just took about 6 minutes to set up. I also love the fact that the seller gave us batteries, you can see that the batteries don't normally come with this product but he or she added the batteries for us. I am so happy with my purchase

works but -----
works but get your coffee 1st ---- worked on a new (( electract) which it does not list and who ever heard of ??? --- a bunch of searching - turns out to be a whirlpool it was easier to set without the number code -- here is how ---- turn conditioner off --- in lower left of remote push set button repeatedly until the tiny numbers below the large room temp no. are flashing -- they are small and you may need a flashlight to see them -- point remote at conditioner and start pressing the up or down button - press reiease press release - you can move right along - eventually you will hear a beep --- stop and push set noting what number you were near ( example 580 or 310 or such) if unit starts you are done - if not push set again and go in revers (if you had been going down - now go up - because you have bi-passed the number you need -- go slower and it will beep again - stop hit and set againsee how you have done now about that coffee - then look at converting to fair vs centigrade

It works on my Fujitsu mini-split. Took some fooling around to set it up, but now it works! That's all I needed. The price was right.

Works With My Kenmore
So glad I checked the reviews on this. I have an older Kenmore air conditioner. The remote died & I can't find a replacement.Kenmore is not listed as a brand this will work with. Thanks to another reviewer I knew there was a possibility it would.Followed the instructions to automatically search (air conditioner off, hold "set" button for 6 seconds until the code numbers on the bottom right of the screen start cycling. This may take a few minutes, it goes from 000-999, when the air conditioner turns on, hit "ok").Now you want to test the code by using the remote to turn unit off & on again. I was able to turn off, but not on. That means the code displaying wasnt correct. My suggestion is to hit the temperature down button & try the next one or 2 codes down. In my case, i initially hit "ok" to late.My kenmore code is 605 . The previous reviewers was 380, I believe. So take the time to let it cycle & you should be fine. If you're able to get the unit to cycle on but it's not working correctly, you may just need to fine tune the code. Also, there is a "light" button which does not illuminate the screen. Its actually a flashlight. Weird, but maybe I'll use that feature at some point, lol.
