Engineer PH-57 compact heavy duty scissors
I`ve only done some test cuts with different materials out in the garage, but so far these scissors appear to be exceptional for my intended application of compact shop scissors. They are powerful and very sharp. The Engineer scissors perform a little better than my larger Milwaukee shop scissors, at least for short cuts. The oversize symmetrical handles are excellent, right or left handed. The thumb pads for increased leverage are a great idea. There`s no screw adjustment for the blade tension, just a heavy duty rivet. The quality looks good, so if the blades stay tight the review remains 5 Stars!

all you want a pair of scissors to be
I use these to cut everything. I use them when preparing food, and have used them to take apart a chicken. I use them on household task, and even cutting small parts of house plants. The scissors are well build, sturdy, and sharp. It helps a lot that the handle easily fits your hand and you can not smash your fingers when closing/cutting the shears.

Solid Japanese Engineering
Absolutely some of the best snips I've ever used. They're good for anything from thin sheets of aluminum/copper to everyday box cutting. Skip the Vampliers import version - I have a suspicion from my limited experience they are produced to a lower standard. Plastic on those in my experience has always felt more brittle and less sturdy than their Engineer counterpart [essentially, JP market version].

Truly a 5 Star Product
The media could not be loaded. These are hands down the best scissors I have ever owned. If you’re just looking for some regular shmegular scissors for the office to cut through paper or such, they will definitely get the job done, albeit an overkill. As ridiculous as it sounds, I mainly use these scissors to cut through plastic. I have yet to find a pair of scissors that are able to do so with such ease. Now they can’t really cut through metal like a brand new pair of tin snips can, but who’s expecting that? The only other scissor I’ve found to hold it’s own against these are Milwaukee’s job site scissors (one of the top American brands). Yet, they still aren’t as sharp as the engineer scissors; the milwaukees have the edge on length and blade width, but the engineers are noticeably sharper.I’ve tried a variety of products in different categories and can confidently say that there are very few true 5 star products I can recommend without a second thought; this is one of them. If you’re looking for an extremely well “engineered” pair of scissors that can probably cut through anything (reasonably) you desire, just buy these. Given its Amazon, the return policy is second to none and you can return them if they’re not up to you’re standards. However, I am willing to bet you won’t; good luck finding another pair of scissors that can top these if anyone happens to make such a decision.I’ve owned Japanese vehicles, electronics, etc that have all been more than satisfactory, but these pair of scissors is the prime example why “Made in Japan” is synonymous with quality.

A Household Must Have
I had some pretty heavy duty kevlar shears that I tried to cut some ABS sheeting with. It was difficult and somewhat painful. I got these shears and it was so much easier and comfortable! The no pinch guards are genius as cutting heavy materials can lead to injury from the amount of force needed at times. In my opinion the best do it all shears you could have for many tasks.

Flawless.
These are the best scissors for the workshop I could ever want. I've cut 2in soft foam with it, cardboard, a lot of stuff that I would struggle with a knife or normal scissors etc. Honestly amazing
