A very detailed model that requires patience. The entire kit is molded in a gray plastic, so it does require a lot of detailed painting and small part gluing. However, I am very pleased with the results. Up close and magnified, my beginning paint skills are evident, but to the naked eye, it looks very impressive. I printed my own custom decals to allow naming it after my grandfather who ran a service station.

I have now assembled several Woodland Scenics kits, and the most notable takeaway is the extent of detail. This is both a blessing and a curse. The basic assembly is traditional for these types of kits. The detailing opportunities are remarkable, but understand that painting is required to produce the best result. Then installing the tiny details is challenging. I spent quite a bit of time on the floor searching for a dropped part. The results are impressive, and I find myself trying to figure out how to place this in a visible location for others to notice. Fits best in late 40’s to early 60’s era. Enjoy!

Perfect details. No flashing to trim off or any problems with the parts. Comes with great little details to place around the structure. Fits right in on my 1930’s/early 1940’s layout. No complaints at all. Highly recommend this model!

Feel like I got ripped off! One tiny box, with non-colored plastic pieces, almost $40. Package contents does not resemble package picture at all! This is, hands down, the worst product I ever ordered from Amazon. For comparison, I ordered "Tomytec (Building 130-2) Fish Shop, Vegetable Shop, Coffee Shop 1/150 N Scale", which was cheaper ($34), got three buildiings, cast in pre-colored plastic and blackwashed, with more 4 times parts count, which == more detail! And, the contents of this package actually matched the picture on the package.
