Q: Is it possible to just buy the lid? Currently lid has rusted so will not open anymore. Thanks.

I bought a new lid from the Netta website. The price was £47.99 so not cheap but less than replacing whole bin.

Q: Does anyone know what happens if the lid doesn't have quite enough clearance? Does it close again, break, etc? We have 86cm

Mine is under a standard height worktop so doesn’t have enough clearance. It needs to be about level with the width Of the worktop. Although it does hit the underneath of the worktop I’ve had it a few months and it works fine and closes as it should do. I did find that if it was pushed too far back it wouldn’t work, I thought it was broken but when I moved it flush with the width of the worktop it started working again. Hope this helps
