GoldenDot WiFi Mini Plug, Smart Home Power Control Socket, Wireless Control No Hub Required, Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home (4Pack) 2.4G WI-FI ONLY

This product was a disappointment. I bought a pack of four and three of them worked OK through setup and use for about a year. The fourth never worked. Recently I upgraded my home router and had to rediscover the devices to get them working again. None of them worked. I followed all of the instructions and guidance about how to do it and included a fair amount of online research. Amazon support was helpful up to a point but said it needed to be resolved by the manufacturer. They seem to have disappeared - I sent a support request through the device app which has not been answered. Otherwise, I don't know how to find or contact them. This does not warrant any more of my time - they're going in the trash bin.

The smart plugs worked well for us. They were easy to install. One of the four did not work. I contacted the seller directly and they responded within 30 minutes on a Sunday. They sent me a new one pronto. I use smart plugs with voice command with sonos in one room and with echo dot in a different room.

I tried setting up these plugs to turn my home into a "smart home" by automating some lamps I have within my home. I could not get these plugs set up, i have a brand new xfinity router and everytime I attempt to configure them I would get an error. Ultimately I had high hopes for this product but ended up returning it

Insteon's latest software rev eliminated their support for X10 (which I have used for decades). So I did not feel like spending $50/ea for Insteon receptacles. These plug modules work great. The auto detect did not work (or maybe I was just impatient). So I did the manual install and it found the devices right away. Connection to Alexa was quick. My Android app works great, and the control is almost instantaneous! Insteon's app could be quirky (just read their reviews). The GreenDot app works well, clearly and simply. Great options for setting a schedule too. I am going to buy more GreenDot and expand my system.

These work very well along with other plugs which use the "Smart Life App" in common.

I am immensely disappointed that it didn't work without having to install some greendot app on my phone. Worse still, I had to register an account with them before it could connect to my google home.Suppose it does work though, so if that's not too much of an inconvenience for other shoppers, then it may as well be a 5/5

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  when i first got them, everything fine that was back in 2018....fast forward, i needed to link my livingroom lamp i just bought and come to find out they have not updated or upgraded their firmware to accommodate my 5ghz wifi...so this thing can even be used unless they do the update!!!****CATION**** to the consumers.....check your wifi ghz frequency first then compare to the smartplug you are trying to buy.{pics & video included in my review}(hope this bit of info helps)

Arrived ahead of time easy to install works when I’m away and the best part is I turn on my lights in the winter months before I arrive home no more walking into a dark house in the winter I also used the app to control my lights while on vacation in Florida 1200 miles from home
