Seems to come with NTFS file system. I changed it to a different one, works fine. Does not work with mobile (micro usb port), may be power was not enough.

well it supports both windows and iOS seamlessly .. usb 3 speeds. . looks a bit plasticky .. but thats ok i guess if it shock proof?? which they say it is ??!! durable...or not... time will tell

This is exactly as the description describes it. a very durable and long lasting external hard drive that i use constantly for my job. I work in rugged areas and not very forgiving environments so having something that can take a beating and still work with no issues is a must. I have (not on purpose) dropped this several times on gravel, concrete, and dirt and not once had any issue with it performing the same way it did when i pulled it out the box. The included 3.0 USB cable makes any large or small transfers to or from it very fast. Only issue i have found with this is the USB cable is short and does not hold very well in the rubber holders manufactured into the sides. Other than that i would highly recommend this product not only for the durability and speed but also for the price of the drive in comparison to any other external drive i have found on amazon.

The drive is compact and easy to move around and always works when I plug it in, and the write speed is good. I hook it up to my TV a lot and it always interacts perfectly. My only complaints would be the feel - it just FEELS cheap. I don't know if that means it really is, I'm not looking to drop-test it any time soon, but the plastic feels weak and the rubber is literally only in six spots. The chord is super short and also feels cheap and makes me nervous. HOWEVER, despite those things, it works perfectly fine, so I don't count them against the drive. The other complaint, and my only serious one - I would say about 75% of the time, when I hook it up to my computer to transfer files, it will NOT eject. Nothing I do will work, I've taken to just shutting down my computer and pulling it free then. I can't figure out the why or reason, all programs are closed, all files are closed, the trash is empty, I've even restarted, done everything I can think of. Not a huge glitch, but annoying for sure. But I would still recommend this to anyone - a great price for a durable 1TB drive.

Overview Note: I do not use this as part of my backup/redundancy setup. I have a NAS setup for that. I basically use this to transfer large files from my work laptop to my home computer and to do remote back up for my camera when I am on a photography outing (with no cloud). It’s great for files that are too big for remote networks, or conventional thumb drives. I have had it for 6 years with no issues…and I don’t baby it. Not as fast as SSDs, but more reliable (when an SSD drive fails…all is lost!) Pros • Built like a tank. Very reliable… Cons • Data transfer is not the fastest.
