Great for keeping you from sun while on a floating device reading a book in a pool. Have not used it yet on a day when the wind was up too high but at 8mp it seemed to do just fine. If you need to stay out of the sun this helps a lot. Looks a little weird so not sure I would wear it out for a walk but I bought it for when I sit in the pool, float and read so perfect for me use.

The only bad thing about it is when it's windy you have to hold on to it but other than that it works really great for the rain and sun

I tried this umbrella hat twice today ( 2nd time in the rain - great as it covers my shoulders too). It is definitely an improvement over carrying an umbrella on a walk. I have to adjust it because the headband is a bit loose, but I can tell just by holding it tighter that it will help. The looseness makes it feel like it's trying to take flight from my head. Therefore, I probably wouldn't use this in a windy storm. I live in FL so this is a great sun shield - cooler because I chose the reflective silver outer layer. Less sunscreen too - which in hot, sweaty FL, is a nice change. I took a star off because the loose head band is also a scratchy headband. I'm going to attach a soft lining to it.

I think its kinda neat, you may look dopey but if you buy this for fashion your looking at the wrong product. The clothe of the umbrella seems a bit plastic like, not a london fog woven material, which has me concerned, but not enough to send it back. The head band is one size fits all and i have a large 8.5 hat size. I find it snug but not painful. Others may find the fit uncomfortable or the band material less than soft. But for me, tolerable for half hour increments. It will blow off in the wind so consider it during windy days. Overall it does exactly what i wanted, an umbrella that frees up my hands

This Umbrella fishing hat is amazing! I am a professional dog walker and living in Florida during the rainy season, this is a must! It is lightweight, comfortable and easy to use. It fits snuggly on my head. I need my hands free to be able to walk and keep gentle control of a dog in the rain along with picking up and disposing of the dogs output andnot have to worry about holding a umbrella. Such a great product.

I purchased same a few years ago and loved it. Wanted a 2nd one. The 2nd arrived and I can barely get the elastic band around my head. I was going to return it, but then I thought maybe I could add some elastic and enlarge the band. So disappointed that 2nd one was not the same fit as the 1st one. P.S. the FIRST one would have been 5 stars.

It’s cute, funny and keeps the sun and rain off my shoulders. It appears to be solidly built. It came in handy sleeping for a few hours at an airport. I laid on the tiny inflatable camping mat i had purchased and covered my head and face with my purple dome.
