Best solar lantern every
I spend much time on my boat and the Lucy lights are fantastically bright, attach anywhere, stay in place even during gusts, and help save battery juice every day. There are three brightness settings but I rarely go to the second or third brightest. The lowest setting is plenty bright to do what I need to do in my cabin or outside. If we need a lot of light, we sometimes go to the second brightest and use one light only. The brightest setting is like a big flashlight. I haven't used it but it could come in handy. Next time we need light in the engine compartment, we'll have a Lucie handy. I use them blown up but I could flatten it and it would fit in the tightest space and shine lots of light. The fourth setting is a flashing light. I've not had a chance to use it but it'll be very helpful if I ever need to get somebody's attention or in a dangerous situation as a warning light.I've now bought four but I keep giving them away--they are just so darn practical. Will continue to buy these. I highly recommend them for camping, boating, or any low-light scenario where there's either no electricity for lighting or one needs a quiet light source (no generator) to light up one's surroundings. Yes, they are that bright.

Great lantern
I was impressed on how bright the lantern is. My smaller Luci light was mostly used for inside my tent. This lantern was used to light up the campsite. It worked really well. I liked that I could charge it using a power cord. If I need to I could have used my power supply. It rained all weekend and I would not have been able to charge much by solar power. I didn't need to as it held enough power for two nights.

Great camping light
Luci lights are all the rage with campers and hikers. Bright, light weight and rechargable. This was a birthday gift for my daughter that loves camping and is planning a long hiking trip in the near future. She wanted this light as it is light weight and needs no batteries plus it is bright enough to light the area.I have one and can say that I love mine and her having one will allow me to keep mine where it can be found. These lights are inflatable and can be deflated for easy packing. Hanging it on the outside of the backpack will have it recharging while on the trail. And the price was reasonable.

Small, lightweight, packable, and shine bright for a good long time.
I bought these to take along bike touring and car camping. They hold a charge for a long time, deflate and pack away to almost nothing, are very lightweight and shine bright for many hours. But I first used them during a Hurricane. 4 days and 3 nights with no electricity, but believe it not, these provided me with enough light for all 3 nights. They worked great on my last 2 trips, and took very little space in my panniers. I liked them so much, I bought a few for my niece during Christmas. She also used them in a storm 3 weeks later, during a power outage. With just a few more I could string them up as chinese lanterns...

The cool white color makes me feel as if I were back in the office
*** Update after 3 yearsThe lamp is still fully functional and it is extremely reliable, but I don't like it very much now.One thing you learn very quickly when you start camping often is that you need a good amount of illumination when you do dangerous tasks at night, such as processing wood or cutting food ingredients with a very sharp knife.Normally I like using 1-5 lumen to eat and light up my tent, 40-50 lumen to walk around camp, ~200 lumen to cook or process wood. This lamp sits at the middle where it is too bright to use as a tent night light and too dim to cook or handle sharp objects safely, leaving it only for backup/emergency tasks in case another more useful lamp happens to fail or run out of battery.Would I buy it again? No, I would not.*** Original ReviewGreat product, can't complain about the quality and the battery life. When I received the product I left it on in my living room in the low setting, all of this without charging it myself. The light was on for around 40h non stop.My first complain about the product is that it cannot be charged to 100% in a single day, in fact it took me 4 very sunny days from 8am to 5pm. I'm sure the battery life will be enough for 1 night from the charge from 1 day, but I never expected to be so hard to charge to 100%.My second complain, and I bought the product knowing this, is the cool white light color. Personally, I like warm white light. Cool white light is only for office in my opinion and kills the mood when camping or doing outdoor activities.Disregarding my personal preferences, this is a really good product with a fair price, just keep in mind that it takes more than 1 full day to charge.

Outstanding Solar Light
This is a replacement for an identical one that I had for about 8 years. I would still have the original one had I not left it charging on my car's roof when I left a Texas state park. It flew off onto Hwy 90, 30 miles west of Del Rio, and immediately got flattened by an 18-wheeler. Had that not happened, I would still be using my old one. These solar lights are great. I use it camping, providing light while consuming hors d'oeuvres and drinking adult beverages, after dusk, at a picnic table. I also use it in my tent. Another great use is illuminating motel bathrooms. I use the low setting and leave it on the toilet tank top. Provides just enough light to see where you're going without turning on lights. Stays illuminated all night. When inflated, it floats, making a fun toy for nighttime swimming. Extremely durable, excluding 18 wheelers. Thumbs up.
