worked great on my uniden r3 radar detector.

The connector was wrong for my Uniden R3, but the speaker was exactly the right size. I just clipped the wires (long) on the dead/old speaker and soldered them to the wires on this speaker, and my faulty Uniden R3 is making noise again. And, since you can't buy just one, I have 3 more of these speakers in case this one craps out.I do think this speaker sounds better than the one that came with my R3, though. It could just be a perception on my part but I do think it sounds clearer than the stock speaker.Uniden refuses to sell speakers so that people can replace their faulty ones (they should just send them out as a matter of good business and keeping happy customers), but they were more than willing to have me pay shipping two ways and give them $81 to fix my $350 radar detector. So glad this seller made it possible for me to do it myself for $8. My otherwise great radar detector works again.

The item fits in the same spot as the original speaker but the connectors are Totally different .You need to solder the old cables to the new speakers and then install it .

If I said what I bought this for you may laugh. But I used them in a custom lightsaber with a soundboard.The speaker is good quality and the wiring has a good connection.Only thing I can complain about is volume I wish it was a TAD bit louder because where I use the lightsaber there is a lot of noise. However for anything else this will be a good speaker.

The wires are too short and the connector is too big. Does not work. ***update*** I cut off the connectors and spliced in the new speaker. It works, but at full volume, I don't think I'd be able to hear it over a quiet radio.

I had the speaker go out in my radar detector. Ordered these little speakers up . . . soldered one in . . . and back in business ! ! !

Replaced my blown radar detector speaker. Worked great, but had to remove connector and solder wires, no problem.

I've got to admit that I didn't realize they were just 28 mm diameter, but that is how they were advertised. They are very small and put out "small" sound. They were un-usable for reproducing voice. They might be OK for an "alert" tone, but not for voice.
