Series two returns to action with the troops in Spring 1943. Paddy Mayne takes control of the SAS following David Stirling’s capture, and now attention must turn from the conflict in North Africa to mainland Europe. But GHQ have cast doubt over the future of the regiment, while the creation of a second unit and an influx of new arrivals make things even more difficult for the men. Can they prove that the SAS remain essential to the war, wherever it may lead them? The SAS have described the combat fighting in Italy as the most brutal they had ever endured, ensuring that season two will provide another action-packed outing. Review: Great series. - Have seen this on BBC tv and loved the series so much I bought the two DVDs. ( 1st & 2nd Series ) What more can you say about Paddy Main and the SAS. Review: Well made - Superb

Great
The TV series that's actioned packed telling how the SAS was formed in WW2 and well comes with a punch. It's hard to believe that men where doing what the TV series showed. But look up the history of this unit and yes very true, not exactly a history lesson but great watching

Good series - But too many cringe moments..
I really liked the first series, where you got to know the characters etc and the action scenes were good enough - until the scene in series 2 in Italy where a Stuka strafed the town square and it's bullets bounced off the table! rattling a few plates... I am pretty sure a real Stuka would have firstly dropped a bomb and then it's 20mm cannon shells would have made firewood of the table.. I recall shouting at the TV and saying 'Oh come on! Worth a watch though if only for the reminder of how brave the original SAS were in WW2.

Excellent follow up to the first season.
Excellent! The opening credits say it brilliantly "while based on true events this is NOT a history". While all the events portrayed actually happened, how the main characters speak and act is probably not accurate.
