The drawer is constructed with particle and pressboard (?) and faced with wood. There is some lacquer smell. The bulk of the piece is solid wood, with so-so finishing. It's factory, not cabinetry.

Does the table has room for 2 chairs?

This table makes a beautiful accent table or a great desk for a single chair. Perfect for a lap top or a flat monitor with a keyboard. Two chairs would look awkward. This is not a dining table.
