Close rooter to install the item
This is a cute size item and I use for wifi repter. I have a long space house, and I put my rooter to the other side of the study room, which is hard for me to get wifi signal from that room to my bedroom. The item is easy to set up by their instruction, but you have to aware that you need to CLOSE your router when you first time set up and than you can put it to the difference place which in the wifi range. I have been using it for a week, and it performs its function well.

Worked well for only one month
This worked properly for one month. I was able to easily secure stable internet connections in several dead areas of my 2 story home. But now, though the extender's signal strength shows all bars on my devices, nothing connects. Not my Roku, smartphone, nor tablet.

Absolute worst product
Just to make this clear, I have never once reviewed a product but I felt the need to let people know how bad of an experience I had with this. I purchased this product in order to obtain a better internet connection in my room which was a bit far from my router. This product was extremely disappointing. The set-up was fairly simple and the instructions were clear, the issue came later when I connected to the repeated internet. I did a speed test on my regular wi-fi with a low signal and then i compared it to a test I did on the repeated wi-fi and the difference was substantial (almost half of what I got from my regular wi-fi) even though the repeater was literally a foot from my computer. In addition to having way slower speeds, (which I was okay with as long as it meant I had a stable connection) my internet was not stable whatsoever, I continually kept disconnecting at random which was a huge issue as I need a dependable connection in order to work on my online college work. I would not recommend this to anyone that I know and I hope this helps anyone who is curious and thinking about purchasing this product, trust me you'd be better off getting a really long ethernet cable and running it from your router to your computer.

Inexpensive but effective solution
my room is on the 2nd level corner, so I usually get pretty weak wifi signal, I didnt want to spend hundreds of dollars to fix this because it wasn't really a huge problem, I was looking for something inexpensive and so I found this, I plugged this in a wall socket that's pointing towards my room from the first floor, although the signal isn't crazy good still, but it is a lot better than before, so i gave it 4 stars, also, the setup was pretty easy, took me a couple minutes and that's it

Updated to 5 stars - connects indoors great; handles multiple devices simultaneously
Update 1/20/19 - I was given an opportunity to use this again so updating my review to 5 stars. I have a two story home and set this up on my main level in a room next to my router about 30 feet away. The setup using the WPS method went super easy and took less than 10 minutes including reading the instructions. It again created a unique SSID of xxx-2G_EXT. Note that this will only connect to and extend a 2.4Ghz network. It maintained strong connections with my laptop as well as my phone as seen in the pics and while my download speeds didn't come close to what is advertised, it was plenty sufficient to surf, read emails, and stream a movie from both devices simultaneously. I imagine my 2013 router from Charter has something to do with the lower speed.I did try to get this to connect outside again however I was unsuccessful. The area is about 75 feet (22 meters) away from my router and separated by an interior wall and an exterior one. It's 18 degrees today so I'll have to attempt again when it's warmer. But my purpose for getting this was to enhance my network around our deck and pool and as you'll see in the one pic, my phone would connect to the device however the device provided no internet. My phone connects directly to my router just fine. I just needed a stronger signal for some smart devices I use which another solution does provide. I imagine it's due to better quality internal wifi antennas with the other solution. So if you need to extend your 2.4Ghz signal indoors or maybe slightly outdoors this is definitely worth a look.=============Original review - Although it connected to my wifi when set up near my router, it does not have a very good internal wifi antenna and would not connect to my main wifi signal to extend it when I put it where I needed it. And it creates a new SSID of xxx_Ext1 and whenever I would connect to that _Ext1 SSID this extender device would drop connection once I initiated some internet activity. Instructions were not clear either on which SSID to connect devices to but since this wouldn't even reconnect to my wifi in the spot I needed I just returned it.

Hot Garbage. DO NOT BUY!!!!!
Do not buy this product. The app and the website they give you to connect and make this useful doesn't work. Tried multiple times, multiple devices and still nothing. Waste of money.
