Thunderbird Vector Lighter Insert - Butane Torch

Lighter ships with butane included. Produces about a one inch flame. Perfect fit for the Thyrm Pyrovault. Really tight fit for a standard Zippo shell, but it can be pushed in and removed with some effort with no obvious harm to either the shell or lighter insert. I've tested it multiple times. Lights on every single button push so far. No complaints.

This is a great little insert. It fits regular Zippo lighter shells and also a few of the thicker Titanium shells coming out of China. This is special because many of those will not fit the regular Zippo jet inserts. The dimensions on this one are just enough smaller to fit but in some cases, you might need to do a little file work. While I've only been using the lighter for a couple of refills so far, the jet has been consistent and reliable.

It works and looks perfect. But even when in the case the tank is too snug to the point where any impact it takes will crack the tank. I dropped it a foot off the ground and the entire thing shattered internally. Works good just be careful, sad I had to toss mine.

This is a great insert for a Zippo case, worth noting it is a little smaller so the fit is not 100% compared to the Zippo insert that comes with your lighter but it is good enough.

This is very handy. I was in the mountains for a couple of weeks and this lighter stopped working. I just switched to my backup lighter. When I returned home, it started working again. I think it is because the fuel needs to be adjusted when at higher altitudes. Can't wait to test this out. It's working now.

I bought two inserts. Both fit tight in my Zippo cases. Both came filled with butane. They light everytime. I like that these are clear so you can see how much butane is in them, especially when refilling them.

Im new to butane lighters as I prefer zippos. But since this one doesn't leak and the flame is more accurate I figured I'd give it a go. The insert fits pretty well, but I find the spring in the arm to be a bit strong. You wont be doing any zippo tricks with this insert since with the stiff arm the insert can rise out of the case enough to prevent the lid from closing. It also doesn't make the same satisfying sound the zippo inserts make but thats to be expected. But if these were the only issues, I'd have given it 5 starsThe lighter worked for 4 days but the gas stopped flowing through the lighter. this was not due to incorrect filling or bad ignition or any other typical problem. The lighter literally does not hiss with the sound of releasing gas when the button is pressed because no gas is coming out the nozzle despite a full tank. There is no debris in the nozzle and at 4 days old with high quality butane, there's no way it's clogged. It was very disappointing and I think I will stick with my classic zippo lighter. I am in the process of returning this insert. I'd be open to trying a second one but I dont have high hopes for it any more.

The insert works quite well. It starts on the first press nearly every time and produces a well-formed jet. I like being able to check the level of the butane through the translucent base.The deal killer, at least for me, is that it fits very poorly. I tried it in two different Zippo lighters and the results were identical. It took considerable force to push it into the case. Getting it out was nearly impossible and risked damage to the insert. I had to use tools and it took at least fifteen minutes of hard work to remove the insert. That is just not acceptable.I appreciate the reviewer who explained how to trim it down for a better fit. I will do that with mine, but I am not going to buy any more of these and would not recommend it to anyone else.It's a shame that such an obvious problem sidelines an otherwise excellent product.
