Q: Can you use this as a daily moisturizer for your face?

Unless your skin is incredibly dry and/or you live in a dry climate, you would probably only need to use it every other day. A little goes a long way, so it's worth the price in my opinion. It's very thick and does its job well, and I use it on my face with no problem, though not every day. It'll give your skin a healthy glow without looking or feeling oily.

Q: How does this compare to embryolisse lait cream?

the skin food is much thicker and more emollient. the lait cream dries semi-matte for my skin, but skin food will leave an oil-based sheen. I use skin food at night and lait cream for day and it works out well.

Q: Does the cream have an offensive odor?

I'm not a sensitive fragrance person and can tolerate a lot, but this has such a strong odor I could not make it to a second application. The fragrance is so overwhelming it smelled like Lestoil house cleaner. I heard great things about Weleda and had high hopes for this skin cream and was disappointed. There are lots of organic products on the market with great fragrances (such as the divine 16J Organics product line), but this Skin Food is not one of them.

Q: Is the lanolin used animal based?

Lanolin is always "animal based" because it is the oil from sheep's wool.

Really good. Wish the price was a bit lower though

Really really good. It has literally helped prevent dry spots. Not for oily skinned people. Smells so earthy yet flowery, in a very real way. The seller is quite professional.
