False alarm defect after 4-5 months being plugged in
Bought a pair of these after we has a gas line to dryer replaced. Started to give false detection of particles and then alarms. Made sure item was clean and walked thru troubleshooting. Tested same area with two different other testers and the other alarm that wasn't used yet at the same time and alarm still went off w/o any of the others detecting anything.I'm going to guess in this case, you get what you pay for.. If the item worked well long enough, it wld be good. But false alarms or particles found is not something you want to deal w/ in the middle of the night or when others may not have other devices to test if the item is defective after a short period of use.

Great product for where I live that is surrounded with car and train diesel fuel fumes.
I live near the ground floor and cars back up in front of the building public parking lot. At times, cars idle for quite sometime either warming it up or the person inside is using their auto Bluetooth speaker to chat with someone for at least 20 minutes. I also live near a train yard and the diesel fueled locomotive produces a strong odor. Thus far, the two detectors has not considered the unpleasant odors a threat to sound an alarm that is good for my use.

Poor communication
Sometimes it goes off if you spray cologne or Lysol. Sometimes it has numbers showing and I have no idea what they mean ( 03, 04, etc...). I have no idea if it is working properly or not. It needs a manual to clearly explain things.

Good product but had to return for an exchange because 1 of the 2 detectors was malfunctioned

This detector has to be plugged in closer to the ceiling for natural gas! ,great for propane!
Installation location!, propane gas leak travels down as it is heavier than air! Natural gas rises toward sealing as it is lighter than air!
