Great bicycle - It got the kids outdoors and off their screens for a while.
Growing up as frequent cyclists, we've strived to get our children to follow since their are obviously great benefits to cycling. Since one of our children outgrew their smaller bicycle we decided to order this one when it became available and are very happy we did so.Assembly was pretty simple as we've been working on bicycles for decades now. We do feel that even for someone with much less experience, this would be easy for them to assemble with little difficulty. The bicycle itself feels very sturdy and rides very nicely. As others pointed out, they use a different type of brake which is more of a drum brake vs. the older caliper brake or the newer disc brake that many bicycles use.Since they'll likely outgrow the bicycle before the brakes wear out, we aren't letting the difference impact our review.Overall it seems like a great bicycle to us and would definitely make a great gift. It's one of those items that it doesn't seem like you can go wrong with and we are very happy that it gets one of our children to separate from their screen from time to time.

Great Bike
This bike has been a great find! It feels sturdy and well-built, yet light enough for kids to handle with ease. The design is sleek and modern, with a solid frame that doesn’t feel flimsy at all. One of the things I really appreciated was how easy it was to assemble. Most of the difficult parts were already put together, so it only took me about 10-15 minutes to finish it up.The ride is smooth, and the hand brakes work well—perfect for helping kids transition from coaster brakes to something a bit more advanced. I also like that it has a kickstand, which is a nice touch to help kids learn how to take care of their bikes when they’re not riding. The sizing was a bit of a consideration, though. If you’re on the fence between two sizes, I’d recommend going for the larger one since kids tend to outgrow these things so quickly. All in all, it’s a great bike that should hold up for a while and maybe even be passed down to younger siblings when the time comes. Definitely a solid option for any kid ready to take their biking skills up a notch!

The big boy bike
It had to bee green and it had to have a bell. Sometimes, winning as a dad isn't so hard.I love this little... big... bike. The frame design is really cool. It doesn't look like a bunch of tubes welded together. More of a monobody style. They put the royalbaby branding all over the place: tires, grips, body. The full chain guard is helpful as my son seems to always want to ride in long pants. Do they even make pedal pushers anymore?Assembly is pretty normal for a bike, so I won't knock it for being difficult. Any less difficult and they'd have to charge alot more for labor/shipping.This thing has Christmas morning written all over it. We had a different Royalbaby bike before, no issues. I don't expect any with this one. Just check sizing and always opt for a size up if you have to choose (like shoes). They're always growing out of them.

Underrated amazing bike
These Royalbaby bikes are amazing. I really like that they use magnesium alloy to make them super light. That is the same material that is used on adult mountain bike suspension fork lowers to keep the weight low. So it's a material that is light, strong and consequentially, expensive. Nos translate that to a kiddy bike, the advantage is immense considering how more agile and responsive the bike is. 100% recommendable, even over super hyped brands of kiddy bikes.

A great bike for the little guys to learn on--balance and wheels!
I got this bike for my little grandsons to use when he visits. This bike is top drawer and of superior quality, being very light and still durable--as it needs to be for children learning to ride. The construction is amazing! It is very easy to assemble the few parts that need to be added. The little guy is ready to learn to ride a bike, and is just the right size for the 14" size. He can stand flat footed on the ground and still slide his posterior onto the seat. He understands the concept of the hand brakes. The lightness of the bike is easy for him to handle. Many parts of the bike are adjustable and can grow witih him. It was pouring rain when he last visited, so the bike went home with him for a while. Dad reports he just about has it down, and is doing very well. The pedal fit is very good, and his balance is excellent. When he outgrows this small bike, his little brother will be just the right size to take it over! His parents and I are very pleased with the design and functionality of this little bike. And the color scheme is cute, too. I strongly suspect he will add some stickers here and there. Great-grandson likes it very much, and the adults recommend it.
