Fair is Fair

I liked that the story was short and easy to understand. Overall it's a well depicted lesson. Explaining fairness can be difficult especially to younger children and this book does a good job of simplifying the idea in a way kids can understand.

Such a great book about giving all of your kids what they need (equity) vs giving all the same things (equality).

We were looking for a book for our 6 year old to really try to get across the point that fair is not equal. I do think that this book does a really great job explaining that and how if everything was "equal" it wouldn't be fair. I wish they talked about more issues other than food in the book to kind of show examples in other parts that would relate to his life, but overall, great book with a great message

I know I’m among many sets of parents experiencing “that’s not fair” with their kids and when I was recommended this book, I bought it right away. I’ve read it a few times and it’s opened discussion with my kids the difference between fairness and equality. I really like this book and so do my kids. I enjoy the conversations that it’s opened my kids to.

This book really helped spark conversations with my children about fairness. I would highly recommend if you want to teach your children that what they receive may not always look equal.

Cute story especially if you have more than one child. Teaches them that fairness isn't always the right thing to do as long as everyone is happy.

This is a great way to teach accommodations to students.

As someone who works in kindergarten all I ever hear is "that's not fair!" Great story to help put things in perspective and help students realize the difference between getting what they want and getting what they need
