This works great as eyeliner, eyeshadow and eyebrows. Blens great on application. Then stays in place!

this pencil eye liner goes on so smooth. The color is really rich and it stays forever! I’ve worn it as a smudgy eyeliner and an eye shadow. I guess you can wear it on your waterline too but I haven’t tried that yet.

I love the light sparkle! The color is intense but not obnoxious I wore it for a wedding got lots of compliments!

The cypress color is not metallic. That's the main reason I chose it. It's much more matte, but it is smudge proof, which I like. The pictures of the models look like a metallic color.

This stila Stay All Day Smudge & Set Eyeliner is reliable and good for daily wear. The "Damsel Dark Brown" shade is a matte, very dark chocolate brown. On my pale skin, it looks nearly black, but it's still a bit softer than a true black eyeliner. It also looks a little more brown if you smudge it out. The eyeliner works as described on the product page - you can smudge it right after applying it, but once it is set, it won't budge. It also works well as a normal, non-smudged eyeliner. It has a smooth application and doesn't easily skip. For me, the eyeliner is neither too dry nor too soft. It's the perfect consistency to apply quickly (and you do need to be quick, because it sets within 30 seconds!).I find it to be water and sweat resistant. It lasts in my waterline for a few hours, but it lasts on my upper eyelid all day long. It doesn't smudge anywhere on my eye throughout the day. It comes off fairly easily with makeup remover, but if you just try to remove it with water alone, it will take a lot of scrubbing to make it even start to fade. I also wear contacts, and sometimes gel eyeliner irritates my eyes, but this one does not bother me at all.

I purchased this based on beauty expert recommendation and what a huge disappointment. It is NOT smudge proof. It is NOT waterproof. I applied in the morning and there was nothing left on my eyes at the end of the day. I work in an office.
