I’ve always enjoyed writing with fountain pens, and have multiple pens from different manufacturers. These pens range from cheap plastic pens to luxury ones from top brands. Of all my choices, this is my go-to when I want my writing to look its best or when I am going to be writing for extended periods.I really enjoy the stub nib on the pen, and was quite surprised with how smooth it writes. It doesn’t seem to matter if the pen is slightly out of alignment, and even at an angle it doesn’t scratch the paper. Ink flow is on the wet side, and it does bleed through on cheaper paper. The pen is a bit lighter than I normally prefer, but it is comfortable to write for long periods of time. I actually wrote the pen dry after refilling in one long session.I have used a number of different brands of ink without issues, but have not tried any of the inks with metallic shimmers.All in all, this is my favorite pen, and will grab it over pens that cost many times more.

Good pen. The stub is pretty scratchy though, but writes well despite it. Great line variation. Not recommended for a first stub though. Could use some better finishing on the nib. I bought it for the pen body, and the body of the pen is great! There isn't a screw out nib unit, but the nib comes out easily and isn't hard to disassemble and reassemble. The blue color is better in person than the pictures show and it came well packaged. The Italian colored bands are plastic and loose (spin freely), but feel decent quality. I like the threads on this pen, but avoid over tightening or cross-threading. Otherwise, these threads should last a long time. I had no dry out over 24 hours and am pleased with the overall quality of the pen. I bought their omniflex nib separately, and it's a smooth and soft nib (with very little flex); it's a good nib if you are looking for something a little better (softer) than your typical fine/medium nib.(4 out of 5 as the initial nib isn't great considering the full price the pen goes for.)

So maybe I just had a bad experience. First I ordered this pen (used like new) but got a cheap chinese pen totally unmarked with a gold broad nib taped to a piece of cardboard. So I reordered a new one because I wanted to try the omniflex nib. When that one came my first experience was unscrewing the cap and getting a metal shard stuck in my finger leftover from manufacturing. I had to go to the bathroom to dig it out. Once I was back on track I inked the refillable cartridge, went grocery shopping and came back to try it out. Well long story short, after 2 days I can't get enough ink to flow to write a full sentence. In the end its probably defective or maybe just not as reliable as my Lamy or Twsbi pens but I'm giving up on this one. First pen I ever sent back.

I love this pen! It's beautiful and so smooth to write with.

For the price I paid, this is a great pen.

So disappointed! I purchased this pen with the OmniFlex nib. There is only a slight flex in the nib. Not enough to differentiate between strokes. I really like the pen, but the nib is horrible!
