The Fibonacci sequence is the infinite sequence of natural numbers, which (originally) begins with twice the number 1 or (often, in modern spelling) additionally provided with a leading number 0. In each case, the sum of two consecutive numbers results in the number immediately following. The episode is named after Leonardo Fibonacci, who described in 1202 the growth of a rabbit population.
