Connected perfectly
I bought a new tv and decided to change my soundbar to this Samsung sound bar. I switched the tv and sound bar and automatically connected to Q Symphony. Brilliant, everything work perfectly, lip sync was excellent. I purchased the white version because it was exactly the same as the black but a lot lower in price, only an idiot would buy a speaker and pay nearly £200 more for a specific colour. The reviews are not wrong, this sound bar is absolutely fantastic. Well worth the money. Update to my review, for the people who have problem with WiFi. I found deep on the internet the link to Alexa was maybe a problem, and smart things app. I deleted from Alexa, removed the smart things app, and found that a 30 second press on the remote channels button, bottom right on the remote turns off WiFi on the sound bar. I don’t need WiFi on the sound bar and it’s been on for a week now. The remote switches on the tv and the sound bar with my settings which are with HDMI-eARC. There is no information how to switch off WiFi in the user guide but that’s how you do it. This is a great soundbar and certainly worth the effort to get it right for your setup. ENJOY. So many people having a problem with this soundbar, so a little update, since I setup as detailed above this unit, I have not touched it. It comes on with the tv and Panasonic freesat recorder and not given me 1 minute of trouble since this review went live in February 2025. When you go to different rooms you can hear the surround sound bouncing around. When I get visited neighbours think someone is coming in front or back door. This unit is outstanding.

Great price and very impressed
Very pleased with the soundbar, I have a Samsung TV also and it paired no problems at all, the way it links to TV speakers is very good too, I dint expect it to be as good as what it is if I am honest but seriously I cannot fault so far,and to say it came down from £399 to what it is now is great, my only gripe is it has gone down another £5 since I bought it.Would recommend

Worthwhile addition to current model Samsung TV
Good quality sound out of the box when linked to the tv speakers of a current Samsung model. Many options available requiring some experimentation to achieve optimum results. Difficult at times to hear the voice 'commentary' over the program sound when selecting options but this is a minor niggle. Voice enhancement really works and no need to use the dedicated remote once variables are set up. Switches to on and standby using the TV remote. May invest in their subwoofer for ultimate bass later on!

Compact, efficient and effective
Compact, clean lines, easy set up and a quality brand. But it's the sound that counts. It's good, once you've played with a few settings. The ability to combine sound with the tv is great. Plus to be able to blue tooth as a smart speaker has had more use than I'd predicted. Not cheap, but so far worth it to bring rich dounds and cinema to my small screen.

Great addition to a tv
Added this to our tv instead of using the inbuilt speakers because we were finding it so difficult to understand what people were saying on tv shows and movies because of how loud the background music. Didn't want lots of small speakers all over the living room having to find power for them and cables between them so went for this really glad I did it has improved the sound quality significantly for this. Installation was really easy as we had an eARC hdmi port on the tv however this speaker doesn't have a pass through for a set top box so it does mean it uses an hdmi port.

Great sound, flawless connectivity
I'm using it mainly for home cinema and I'm really impressed with the sound. I didn't expect that it will be so good for such a price. It's connected by a cable to Samsung projector and works flawlessly. Once set up, you can forget it's there, as it doesn't require any maintenance and powering on separately. Also I love the Bluetooth connectivity, which allows to switch the sound from your phone/computer to the soundbar, perfect when you want just to listen to the music.

Dumb speaker with no smart capability at all
Connected this to an LG smart TV on a Deco mesh network. Downloaded the Samsung Smartthings app. Device connected to the WiFi initially, then dropped and wouldn't connect again. While it was connected AirPlay would not work; network strong and managing about 40 other devices so no probs with the WiFi. Added skill to Alexa and absolutely nothing would get that to work either. Googled it for hours and did the usual, unplug, reset, remove from app, sign out of app, delete app, reload app etc. etc. Exhausted all possibilities and I'm a Systems Integration & Test Engineer! Reset the device several times back to factory, but from that point it wouldn't even connect to the network it had previously connected to or even find the network. Basically this turned out to be a dumb speaker with no smart capability at all; just eARC cable connection. ZERO Starts. Returned.
