The Truth is a weak thing. It has no power. The only power the Truth holds is the power we grant it. The conspiracy is over. A deep draught was taken from the bitter cup of revenge. But not all is what it seems. Deceptions, new and old, unfold in this dramatic third book in the WAHRHEIT series. Gerhard Fischer obtains a powerful and dangerous new tool. Ulrik finds an ally, and learns an old one has been playing him since the beginning. Ursula bargained the death of an enemy for the death of a loved one—but in the violent confusion of the palace—it's not clear which is which. Captain Otto Tilly meets his match, and discovers even the strongest armor has a chink a blade can slide through. The Bloody Hand is stymied, inciting his terrible wrath. And Ilse Brinke begins to realize the war they are fighting isn't what they think it is. Review: Great story crafting! - These books have been consistently engaging and entertaining. Truly unputdownable! I can’t wait to continue the next phase of the adventure. Each character is well developed and has their unique motivations. Great reading! Review: Complex plot continues - Plot continues to unfold in this series. Some characters are stronger than others. Much more complex plot than previous series. I'll stick with it.

Epic saga
I'm an avid book reader and have many favorite authors, but it isn't often that I'm so enthralled by a tale, characters & outstanding imagination that I can't put a the book down even though I should be sleeping! Wow wow wow. I simply can't wait for the next book! For all fantasy readers of adult fiction that love dragons, elves, dwarves, paladins, Queens and MUCH more, this series is a must read. Outstanding writing, plot, imagination, complex development etc.. BTW it is obvious that the writer is a wine connesiur, so if you need pairing tips.. lol

I am really enjoying the Way their series. The characters are varied and at odds, but twist into a unique story line. I look forward to next book.

Great series!
Centuries of lies & deceit. The sly & deceptive Skiengvaal taint fills the very air. The kingdom of Wahrheit lies upon the precipice of ruination. Another awesome entry in this dark, mysterious enthralling series. Deep rich lore & totally epic.

so full
Truly awful. Skip the entire book and hope book 5 is better. Trust me, you won’t miss anything by skipping this dull excuse of a book.
