I can't believe I haven't written a review for this product yet! I have been using this product for about 2 years now - I am not diabetic, but I will share how I use this product.I follow a ketogenic "diet" and have been known to have a couple of slices of pizza now and again. (I wish I could get to the place where pizza was no longer a "draw" for me!!!) So, to control blood glucose spikes, I use this product along with cinnamon capsules. I have also used Glucocil, but let me tell you why I like this product. This product, along with cinnamon, brings glucose down slowly and at a more reasonable rate, if you will. For anyone who pays attention to his or her body, you know what it feels like when glucose drops quickly. So, if I want a more acute drop, I will use Glucocil, but the caveat to this is this - blood sugar may drop too quickly, and I may end up sleepy. If I want to manage and slowly decrease my blood glucose, I take Jarrow Glucose Optimizer. It seems to steadily decrease blood sugar and I don't get sleepy after taking it, which is how I know (that, and I have used a glucometer to test it - nerdy, I know!).On my pizza splurge, I take 4 of these, and begin taking them while I eat the pizza to prevent blood glucose to rising too quickly. Why do I do this? Well, because if you don't eat a lot of carbs, and you have been practicing a ketogenic way of eating for a couple of years, then you are sure to have a glucose spike when you do enjoy carbs, especially pizza! About an hour after eating, I may take 2 more capsules, just to negate more effects. I have done this with Glucocil, and ended up with a glucose of 60, and that feels really bad (and is NOT the goal). (However, I think when I did this with Glucocil, I was also using a LOT of MCT oil, which also lowers blood glucose; so in hindsight, perhaps it was not the Glucocil alone that dropped the BG to 60.) I am not suggesting YOU employ my methods, but I am just saying how I use it.I would imagine this would be great for diabetics, and while I have never read the reviews from other folks concerning this product, others may be able to attest to their experiences better than I. It works fantastic for what I need it for. I keep a supply on-hand because Saturday nights are often the night of pizza "debauchery". I hope this review helps someone.

I had been concerned about my blood sugar levels rising (there is some history of diabetes in my family), so started taking Glucose Optimizer after I saw it had hit 95. I didn't change my diet at all (I am an confirmed chocoholic), but I did add a daily short walk of 20 minutes to my routine. After 6 months, at my next blood test, my sugar levels were at 89. I was astonished and so happy. I will continue to take these!

Ive been pre-diabetic for 8 years.Refuse to take Metformin. Have added this to Berberine and have seen my sugar #s drop.

I bought this when it was still in the blue bottle and had the original formula. Now I need a refill and they changed the formula so it's not as potent anymore! Really bummed out about that. The original worked. I'm not taking chances with a dumbed down dose, I'll go find something from more comparable from another company. Very disappointed in Jarrow for this.

Update 9/7/23: A1C dropped even lower to 6.7!Three months ago I was diagnosed with T2D after having an A1C of 9.5. With some lifestyle changes (diet and exercise) and taking Glucose Optimizer, I am happy to report that my A1C is now at a 7.3!

Top quality, it really helps keeping my glucose level in the range. Years of use ad never disappointed!

The product was good when it was in the blue bottle as the above picture shows. The same comments were posted by another reviewer, and I have to agree. They advertise the bottle may look different from blue to red bottle, but they failed to mention that the formulation is also different The new formulation has half the ingredients as the old formulation, so it’s not gonna be as effective.
