Awesome for the price and very easy to install
I'm pleasantly surprised with how much bass this puts out. I didn't have the space for a box in the trunk and installing an aftermarket stereo was not an option either. I was able to power it by tapping into a >10A fuse slot that wasn't getting used, but had live wiring (Sunroof motor for me, since my car doesn't have one). I used the seat-to-frame bolt as a ground, and I spliced into my rear speakers with T-taps. The remote is very useful in tuning the subwoofer to work with the factory stereo, since it lacks those functions. Size wize, it is very small. It fit under my powered driver seat without a problem and plenty of room to spare. Overall, it was incredibly easy to install and worked better than I thought it would. For it's size and price, this subwoofer can hit pretty hard. If it is not performing well, it may be due to the programming in the factory stereo. Update: If you have a factory stereo, get a line output converter with a bass restoring function, like the AudioControl LC2i. The subwoofer connected straight to the factory stereo had little to no response 60 Hz and below. However, after connecting the LC2i, it practically tripled the bass output and restored the low frequency, deep bass signal. If you do get the AudioControl LC2i or similar LOC, they draw very little current and only need an 18-gauge wire with a 1 A fuse. I tapped into the fused line going into the subwoofer as well as the ground line, and it works perfectly.

I absolutely love it
I'd like to start by saying I've been buying and installing subs in my vehicles for 25 years now so it's not my first rodeo. This sub is very compact with excellent sound. For all of those who see reviews that it has no power I would like to say you do have to know how to set it up. This sub rocks the best if you hook it up with the RCA low level inputs out of a head unit that can control the sub separately. I initially had this in a car with a Pioneer amp. I did have to boost the sub level up to 5 out of 10. I turned the cross over all the way up to 125 hz on the sub but limited it to 100 hz at the head unit. I also use the option for deep bass as opposed to the dynamic option. The deep bass option makes it sound like a sealed enclosure whereas the dynamic makes it sound like a ported enclosure. My personal preference I've always liked sealed. I currently have this in a car that I'm not changing out the head unit because it has nav. I hooked it up with high level (speaker wire) inputs and was disappointed with the output when you hook up an input from a weak stock head unit. I've decided to boost my sound system with Pioneer's DEQ-S1000A digital signal processor which I'm positive will give me the sound I crave. The specs on the signal processor are the same as my old head unit in the last car. All speaker levels are adjustable as are the cross over points. I paired this with the Pioneer TS-A series 6.5" 3 way door speakers and TS-A tweeters in the pillars and it sounds amazing. This is fairly easy to hook up as a few other reviewers mentioned. I ran power to the battery although I probably didn't have to. Ground is almost always easy to find. I tapped into the rear speaker wires from the pillars that run between the doors using Posi-taps. You don't have to hook up a remote signal when you're using high level inputs, the amp turns on automatically when it senses speaker signal. If you hook up with low level RCA's you will have to run a remote turn on signal. I definitely recommend this unit for use in a vehicle that either has little extra space or you just don't want to sacrifice your truck or hatch for an entire subwoofer box. This sub does hit hard and deep, response is down to 20 hz and I believe it. The sub just needs some external control for the best response.

Great Sub for small spaces
I put this is in a Ford Ranger standard cab. Needless to say there isn't much space anywhere in that truck for a big sub. I mounted this on the back wall of the cab. I was able to mount it low enough that the seats didn't interfere with the sub. Very easy to install. The sub came with more than enough wire to make all my connections without having to make any splices. Very happy with my purchase and I feel this was my best option considering my limited space. Its not a boomer, but has more than enough bass for this application. I highly recommend this sub. Great quality, easy to install, and a great value overall.

Do NOT get this if you're used to lots of bass!
I'm not knocking the product here. It's doing exactly what it is designed to do. I've just been spoiled and had higher expectations. It feels super well built. Aesthetically it looks pretty nice. I bought this to replace a dying 12" sub that ate up most of my back seat in an extended cab truck. I didn't think I was asking much of it as I just wanted good sound. I can go without the back massages. I mostly wanted the back seat back and didn't want anything under the back seats. I unboxed it and when I seen the size of it, I knew it wasn't going to work. Seen the 22Ga wire feeding it and really knew it wasn't going to work. However, I gave it a chance and installed it anyway under the drivers seat. It sounds good at low volumes (Level 4-10 on receiver) but after that the door speakers just run it over and you no longer hear it. That low frequency below 70hz just disappears all together. Otherwise the thing is small, the remote has features that are somewhat unnecessary given the size? You shouldn't need to turn this down (or up lol) once it is tuned properly. Also you can just leave the remote unplugged and it'll run all max so you can tune it at the head unit. It comes with long enough wires to connect it to the battery and radio power. You'll need RCA cables and some ring connectors for the terminals. Otherwise its got plenty of wire. This wouldn't be a bad gift for grandma or maybe dad who listens to nothing but country or classic rock and likes quiet music. Don't get it for mom if she likes to throw down. For my young a**, it's just underwhelming. I'll likely end up going with a 10" shallow mount and just accept that I'll lose the storage under my seats.

Just what I needed. Brilliant piece of speaker. Recommended to all those who needs an extra punch to your music. Not to showoff in front of others, just for pure personal music experience. Thanks Pioneer. Thanks Amazon🙏

I bought this Pioneer and installed in my car. Worked less than one month & not working. I planned to send to Pioneer Singapore & they said not purchased from Singapore and no international warranty. In fact, they will charge me S$200 penalty if send in for repair. I am so curious that Pioneer do not honour international warranty. I bought many brands before and got international warranty too. If this is the case, I don’t dare to buy any online shipped from America. This will be my last Pioneer product too!
