I used this for my closet, and in totes of vintage clothing that have a slight smell to them. I hung up one in my closet and it smells great. I also placed one in a vintage curio cabinet that had an unpleasant smell (even after washing it). That smell is no longer there when I open up the door. The packets over took the plastic chemical smell of my totes that I use to store seasonal clothing. I got the lemongrass one and I love the citrus smell. The smell obviously lasts longer in smaller closed spaces. The one I have in my closet has been hung for about two months and smell is now starting to fade out. The scent can also be quite potent on first use if you have a scent sensitivity.

Sandalwood is a base scent common to many colognes, so I figured the smell would be pleasant. but this odor is not something I would ever want my clothes or drawers to smell like.I guess if you like/want this odor then the product itself is fine. But I wouldn’t wish this scent on anyone I like
