I'm including some photos of the comparison to another brand of hair clip that I thought should be the superior quality since it is "made in France". I'll be honest, since I know that they ARE NOT actually made of celluloid as claimed, so I didn't have much confidence in the legitimacy of them being produced in France. Mia clips are made in China and my expectation was that the other one probably was as well, and they would be hard to tell one from the other. I was WRONG! Mia clips are higher quality, and they outperform the French brand in my hair.These hair clips from MIa are the best thing ever for staying in my fine hair, and they do it without poking my scalp! I can twist my long hair up and it stays. I can fold the twist in half (doubling the volume the clip must hold) and it stays just as well. No pulling sensation, no stabbing, no sliding, no kidding. When I remove it, no hair gets caught in the clip, so no ripping a few strands out at the root. My only complaint is that I would like more colors to choose from. I have the 'tortoise' and all three variations of black (black & white) which are the only 4 I have found. I wear a ton of Navy blue and would love to see that, or red, or even plain ivory or pearl white.

These hair clips, or this style works really well for people with lots of thin hair. It truly secures that hair into place. Rolling in back of head, twisting up, and securing...loose strands might escape but these work. All other hair clips I spend forever re-twisting hair and clipping. Don’t waste your time on all those other hair clips, this style works best. ALSO, I have girls with thick hair, it won’t hold all of their hair. I have a kid with curly hair, works on that one but scrunchies are better. Just thought I’d cover all the hair we’ve used these clips on.

I wear these types of clips every day. They make a good messy updo or professional bun. I’ve got thin hair so it’s hard to find a hair clip that will hold my hair all day. These are great for commuters who hate that feeling of a bulky clip hitting the headrest too. They’re flat against your head so you hardly notice them.
