Has the recipe changed?
My cats loved this food (all Fussie cat flavors) and I was so glad to find their bowls empty every time. Then, suddenly, they walked away from it or would just nibble and leave most of the food in the bowl. So, I paused and bought other cat food varieties for the change. Recently, I bought another 24-pack of the formerly so beloved Tuna with Mussels and my cats will not touch it! Not even the half wild one, who always had his bowl empty in 30 seconds. The recipe must have changed since the food is now like a stiff pudding and does not contain as much meat as previously. Another question at Fussie Cat: Why 3 thickeners in the food? Locust bean gum, guar gum AND carrageenan? I have not seen this in any cat food before. Considering the price of the product, we will not purchase again.

Quality is going down and filler is going up
Have been feeding our two cats this product for many years. It is expensive and getting more so, almost by the month. I order two cases at a time and the last few times I ordered the cases suddenly have copious amounts of filler gelatin added to the top layer of the cans. My one cat can tolerate the gelatin but the other one has started getting sick. I am going to order again because they are use to it, but I need to go back to the drawing board and attempt to find a nutritious, balanced, healthy food that they will both eat. Unless you are a food chemist, vet, scientist, animal formulator that is no easy task. I need to change from this food, just not sure what yet. Cat food is now as expensive as human food, if not more. I read this food is mg'ed in Thailand .... there seem to be no national agencies that give a flip what we feed our pets.

Cat food quality degenerating fast
I am considering eliminating this cat food from my cat's diet, which is a pain. The cat will eat this food, but I have to spend more and more time picking out the very dark meat tuna, which my cat will not eat. It is nasty and takes time to be picking out the dark meat. There used to be almost none in the cans, but the amount of dark tuna has been increasing rapidly, and I end up wasting more than ever.I was using this tuna because my vet said to find a canned food that was all protein, as cat's digestions have evolved to absorb only protein. I am very disappointed in the degeneration of the quality of this product.

CATS LOVE IT. A LITTLE PRICEY. THE LIP ON THE CAN MAKES THE FOOD NOT COME OUT EASILY.
My cats do love this food. I mix stuff in, but they won't accept extras mixed into just anything. And, they absolutely would eat this straight. My complaint is with the can. There is a lip on the inside that makes it so that when you just try to dump the food out in a uniform circle, you cannot. Two things: My cats LIKE to get a chunk of food. They don't necessarily want it shredded for them, though I do when I'm mixing other things in. AND, for meals, each cat gets half a can. It's way easier to cut a solid chunk in half than it is to screw around with a big mess of food I scraped out of the can. This is the FIRST cat food in a can I've bought that is such a nuisance to get out. It really is! It's enough of a nuisance, I probably won't be buying it again. I've discovered Snappy Tom brand. They also love that. I think they just love expensive food. Spoiled cats. They eat better than us.

Disappointed
I have five cats and I have bought this locally before and they love it. I purchased this batch from Amazon and found a bone in one of the bowls my female cat was eating and luckily I got to it before she ate it cause it was sharp. I'm giving a 3 star because they like the food but the sharp bone was alarming.Update. .. we are finding more bones in the cans we open and this isn't something that has ever happened before when we purchased other places. I have to go through it and pick out the bones before giving to my cats. It also has a different consistency for some reason. We are very disappointed with this.

Buy the sample pack to try first.
I wanted to post a review and state up front that this is not a cure all for fussie eaters. Seeing so many good reviews I took a leap of faith and bought the 24 pack of Tuna and a chicken sampler pack. First, the food looks absolutely delicious. Real pieces of fish and chicken. Great aroma. You could actually think it was people food! But, my two babies took a lick and walked away. Subsequent times they would approach and walk away with one sniff. So, don’t really blame the company, but before you go all in try the sampler pack, which I did with same results. If a company rep reads this, the bites are a little too large for smaller cats. Just wish my cats would eat it since they’ve don’t seem to want Fancy Feast, Blue Buffalo, Royal Canine, and every other brand we’ve tried.

Gave my cat vomiting and diarrhea
Tried this a year or so ago and my cats loved it. Tried this from Amazon recently and it took me a couple of weeks to realize every time my cat would eat this he would get terrible runny diarrhea and vomited frequently - which was not normal. I stopped the food and the diarrhea and vomiting completely cleared up and he hasn’t had any issues since. Even though this is terribly expensive I threw out the remaining cans.

I recently adopted a stray cat. After trying several different cat foods (which he would NOT eat), I tried Fussie Cat. He loves Fussie Cat! He prefers dry food but I really want him to eat canned food. He loves the Tuna flavor of Fussie Cat canned food, especially since it is chunky and flaky, not a smooth pate (which he hates). He really is a Fussie Cat!
