Introducing Islam Set

I am disappointed that this set cost so much and came damaged. The plastic wrap was poorly put on the books and the plastic packaging it came it may have been the reason it was less protected.I’m sure the books are great but the disappointment is great as well.

This set of books is marketed as an introduction to Islam for non-moslems. It portrays itself as taking an academic approach to the subject. The reality is that these books are written to demean Islam and the so called academic approach is a charade. The writer who sells himself as a Christian might want to apply the same so called academic approach to the Old and New Testaments. Does the Bible accurately reflect Moses, David, Abraham, Mary Magdalen or even Jesus as they really existed, or are they depicted in a fashion that best supports the political intent of the scribe? Who was the real Moses, David or Abraham? Were the stories written contemporaneously with the lives of the biblical characters or centuries later? This is the approach taken by the author to Islam. He forgets that all religions are based primarily on faith. If you are looking for a true introduction to Islam, stay clear of these books.
