Feels good in my hand. FYI handle is hollow which makes it nicely light weight. Only had four short time but seems to hold its edge.

I had a birds beak paring knife years ago that I adored and used daily but somehow it vanished. I managed to make do with other paring knives over the years and nearly forgot about it. But now this one has come into my life and I am beyond thrilled.The size is perfect for those small jobs that you just can’t do with a large knife. I love the shape and heft of the handle, it is made for the job. And while the shape of the super sharp blade might seem unusual to some, trust me, it is awesome with those small peeling jobs. The first thing I did with the knife after I washed it was to peel the skin off a grape tomato. Not that I had a reason to, it was just a test. But if I could do that, I knew I could peel anything with ease, an apple, a potato, dice an avocado, etc.It came packed in a beautiful box that was nice enough for gift giving or simply for use as safe storage. I wish I could could give this more than 5 stars.

Very solid paring knife with lots of heft in the handle to make it easy to use without slipping out of your hand. Comes in a nice box with a cover on the blade tip to prevent accidents. Just what you need for peeling or cutting apples and other small round fruits. The tip is very sharp, so beware.

This thing was dull when I opened the box. I sharpened it and proceeded to peel potatoes and onions. After 2 potatoes, I had to force the knife to work. I stopped peeling and sharpened the knife again. I rinsed the knife off again, but noticed the steel handle on this thing is like holding a piece of ice when it's wet. Besides, it's too big for my hand. I knew if I slipped, I would get injured, even though it wouldn't peel the vegetables. Waste of money.

This birds beak knife has the perfect curve. Many other brands do not have enough curve, and/or the curve is at an awkward angle relative to the handle. This one is perfect. I have been using birds beak knives for over 40 years. They are an indispensable tool in my kitchen. The handle of this knife fits the hand perfectly, offering excellent balance, control and precision. I can use this knife for hours non-stop without suffering fatigue. The description states it is made from one piece of stainless. But, it is not. The handle and blade are electronically welded together. The quality of this weld is most important for longevity. Time will tell.... but for now, ..five stars.
