I like this as an alternative to paper, and to fill a niche grab-and-go need to hand write notes during the day and quickly transfer to them more permanently / digitally for records later. For that use, this LCD pad works wonderfully so far. I do not doodle now with it or, simply as what I said. I like that you can write on both sides and quickly erase a designated side with the push of a button. Do not expect to be able to erase something specifically, and you will be fine.As the instructions say, this product works best and is designed for use in bright light, so do not expect much if you plan to use in low light as it becomes too difficult to use practically.All in all, so far so good. It's nice that an extra battery comes enclosed in addition to the one already installed in the unit. If I were to be critical of anything, it would be that even the pressure from a small contact, such as a fingernail, can add contaminating marks to the tablet as if the enclosed stylus pen does itself. I use this at work to save post-its. I love that it's double sided. I use both sides. The erase buttons work well and I've not accidentally erased anything. I can make lots of lists and notes and it fits easily in my desk or in my computer bag. Win win. Update: It's now been over a year and this boards are still going strong. So easy to use and I've saved a BUNDLE on post it notes. I love that I can write on both sides. I have one in my desk and one in my computer laptop bag. I don't like to work without them. Highly recommend.

I bought a few of these last year in different sizes for office co-workers for message or note taking. As gifts they were an absolute hit. I’m still hearing about it! I called it the deskcessory of the year! I’m still getting demand for more. For its price and its usefulness it is five-stars. As I use mine a lot I hardly ever use a sticky-note any more which reduces desk clutter. One thing is that after a year of use, the screen does seem to wear down a bit in that the lines become thicker after a while, and it takes more button presses to clear the screen image. But that hardly changes it’s usefulness and the other side is still crisp. For its price and gift-effect and novelty, it it an excellent gift idea and a useful desk tool for any office.

This is pretty great when you're using it in bright lighting. You can write with at least the precision of a ball point pen. I really like that you can write on both sides, and the stylus sticks to the bottom for storage. The problem is that if you're not in bright lighting, it's hard to see because the light blue against black background just doesn't have enough contrast, to the point where you can barely see it at all when it is in shadow. Since my desk doesn't have a spotlight pointing at it, it's barely readable. It would be so much better if the markings were white, yellow or bright green instead. The seller images are extremely misleading since they show bold lines in bright green instead of the very fine lines in dark cyan. I do like the precision, and it is extremely responsive and reliable so far. It's just very hard to see under dimmer lighting. Since my phone enhances contrast when taking pictures, the first picture I posted looks super bright and readable. I took a second picture in darker lighting that better represent what it actually looks like in normal, semi-dim indoor lighting.

The writing is legible at all sizes, even with tiny writing. The mark is smaller than name brand creating more space to write and smaller text more legible. The lock button locks the screen from erasing while you can still write on it. I didn't have a problem with the brightness. If you put your palm on the screen to write it doesn't leave marks, unlike the name brand. Overall I thoroughly enjoy this product and it serves its purpose. It's lightweight, although it does feel cheaply made. You get more than you paid for though, so it makes up for it.

I just received this item, but it is not what I expected. I just wanted to buy a brand new one, and the one I received looked like an old one with some scratches on both sides that can be seen by eyes. The box shipping has no damage, only this item/this product inside was an old one.

I dont put notes on my phone. I carry a paper pad in my purse, I like this cus its great for me making shopping lists, use it, push delete its clear, no paper waste, same size as the paper. Its me, but I like actually using a pen/pencil/stylus to write (in cursive!). Very happy with this.

Dimensions not as described. Was hoping it was small enough for my fieldnote wallet but it was just as large and just as expensive as the double sided version.I have other versions of this and I can confirm it is abnormally dim.2 stars because the product works And came on time, otherwise one star
