Dog chewed through the power cord of our Shark NV581 vacuum but I was able to fix it using this replacement cord. A 2 pole, M16 junction box connector was the trick to making this easy because I was able to connect the new cord to what was left of the old one without ripping apart the vacuum.If you are looking to replace the entire power cord than this cord and the other Shark replacement cords I was finding will not work well because they don’t have the molded strain relief grommet to connect it to the vacuum.I picked this cord because it was 16AWG and it was lower cost than the other vendors selling 17AWG cords for Shark vacuums.Here is the 2 pole, M16 junction box connector I used:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSSQ75N6

I very specifically searched for the cord I needed for my Shark vacuum. I triple checked what I needed with the manufacturer's specs and ordered accordingly. Well, guess what?! It doesn't work for my vacuum. Very unhappy with this purchase.

Difficult to install but works great. We got this after my puppy chewed through the old one. I’m grateful we were able to replace it instead of the entire vacuum.
