While not a "daylight" bulb, the output of this 100w equivalent provides a bright and natural light. Unlike a lot of LED bulbs that have a plastic lower section which shields the light output with a directional cast, this bulb casts its light virtually 360 degrees. Perfect for the application I needed in a horizontal light fitting where the common style of LED light was compromising output. This is genuinely the best LED bulb I've purchased in replicating the light output of an old filament 100w

Very bright.I bought it for my garden.At night it was so dark outside now with this bulb it looks so bright..

Not had it long, but it seems to be a nice bulb and does what it's supposed to do, but the colour temp seems to be about 5000K.

Needed a bright bulb for a floor lamp in an area of the bedroom where I do calligraphy and artwork, as a 60w bulb not bright enough. This 100w equivalent LED bulb is ideal for my needs. The colour temperature of the bulb is quite neutral - bluer than traditional tungsten but a little more orangey than daylight. The bulb does not get too hot in use. I can’t comment on the longevity of this one yet, but a 75w equivalent same brand bulb which I bought six years ago is still going strong, so I have confidence in the brand; and with the extra efficiency I am happy to be saving money in the long term.

These bulbs are surprisingly quiet - I cannot here any noise even put my ears as close as 20 cm to the bulbs. This ends my journey of finding quiet 100W bulbs.

It is a shame you have to pay over £10 for an energy efficient bulb. We should be encouraged to use most efficient lighting but Philips is milking the customers with such prices.
