Eastman AC-OM1 'Open-Pore' finish all wood acoustic
I bought this guitar used for cheap! It seems some people don't like the 'Open-Pore' finish.Open-Pore FinishThis is a thin coating that is applied to expose the deep natural pores present in exotic woods, and is used to exploit the natural sound characteristics of the particular wood beneath, AND to save 2 or 3 other steps and reduce the price. This guitars tone is in between a Taylor and Martin. I think the open pore allows it to lean more toward a Martin tone. Strings choices will change this so experiment. This finish was done mainly for profit. I think if this guitar had a high gloss finish along with ebony fretboard, a hard shell case and a few other differences it's price would be closer to $700. By all means play one if you can, you will be surprised.
