Not just for Navy S.E.A.L's
This watch has many features you would expect at this price point. It has a carbon compound case and a steel-brushed buckle. It has Sapphire Crystal glass and Swiss movement. Tritium tubes in the clock positions and the hands offer visibility in limited light environments. Although it is not marketed as a diver's watch, the Black Ops 8880 has a Uni-Directional rotating bezel and is water resistant to well over six hundred feet. Some users have noticed that the glass covering the bezel at the 12 position falls off after usage. There are also issues with water proofing even in low level water exposure. Most importantly, the warranty may be limited or even invalid if the watch is not purchased from certain retailers.I would describe the aesthetics as minimal. This watch is strictly functional and is not a fashion accessory. It is probably most suited to those out and about at night or those involved in water sports.

Durable, but unattractive.
This is a quality Swiss made watch that seems durable, and is pretty rugged/tough.On the plus side I like the large watch face, about 45mm I believe, I've got used to larger watches in recent years and some watches feel ridiculously small now.The watch face is relatively easy to read at a glance, and the illumination does help in low light. The materials used should make this a durable watch able to to withstand some knocks. On the downside I didn't find the orientation of the illumination that obvious at first glance, it needs a few seconds.I don't generally like rubber straps bit thought I'd give this a go, which was a mistake. Found the strap uncomfortable and it irritated my wrist.I assume the pattern on the inside is to help with grip, but all it did was rub my skin whoever tight or loose I had it.I guess on a watch of this type there is not much that can be done style wise, but this one does seem quite bland for price point.Overall I guess if you have a job or hobby that is particularly physical you may like this watch. But it's not one for people looking for a stylish watch.

A very solid watch but it doesn’t look expensive
The media could not be loaded. It’s a very pricey watch (RRP £439) but it doesn’t look expensive. Only those in the know would suspect it was such an expensive item. Frankly in my opinion it looks like a £60 watch. Nothing about it screams out “expensive” or “luxury”. It looks okay but no more than that. It wouldn’t win any design contests. It’s nearly weightless and it’s easy to forget you’re wearing it. It is comfortable on the wrist. The video I’ve made to go with this review doesn’t really show it glowing in the dark. The light that emanates from it was too low to be picked up by the camera so I couldn’t show it in the dark very effectively, but it is bright enough to be seen in real life. There’s nothing wrong with it but it’s also pretty bland and unexciting. Ignoring the price it’s an unremarkable 3 out of 5 star watch. With the price tag of RRP £439 I wouldn’t recommend it, but then I would never pay that kind of money for a watch anyway.NOTE 25/11/19: The watch has been worn more or less daily for over two years. The silicon strap has snapped and now needs replaced.
