Very Expensive!
I am afraid that I can’t give this product a high rating simply because of the price - £29.99 for 60 tablets, when you can buy a year’s supply (365 tablets), with similar dosage levels, for around half the price. The seller justifies the price by the high tablet potency, which they say is 25,000 x the RDA for biotin, 360 x the RDA for selenium, and 200 x the RDA for zinc.In fact, there is no official RDA for Biotin. US medical sources like the Mayo Clinic, and the National Institute of Health, suggest anywhere from 30 to 100 micrograms a day is enough, and our own NHS says you should be able to get all the biotin you need by eating a balanced diet. The exceptions may be for people on a vegetarian or vegan diet, and pregnant womenThe good news is that there is no evidence that you can come to any harm by taking Biotin in high doses like in these tablets – so if you think you need 12,000 micrograms of biotin a day rather than 100, go ahead and buy these. For me, the bottom line is that biotin supplements MAY help to strengthen your nails, slow thinning hair, and improve your skin – particularly if you don’t eat meat. But there is absolutely no evidence that these kinds of massive doses have any additional benefit, so you would do better to buy a cheaper product.

Bettervits Biotin - A Comprehensive Boost with a Few Considerations
So, I decided to give Bettervits Biotin a go, mainly with the hopes of ramping up my energy levels and throwing in some extra support against those pesky free radicals. What caught my eye was the inclusion of selenium and zinc in the mix. Apparently, these two are like the unsung heroes of antioxidant protection. Combining them with the biotin seemed like a smart move, promising to tackle oxidative damage and stress. Thumbs up for that thoughtful addition! Now, let's talk money. For around £30, you're bagging yourself a 2-month supply of 12,000mcg biotin plus the antioxidant tag team of zinc and selenium. A quick search might show you slightly cheaper options, maybe up to 10,000mcg for half the price. But here's the kicker - those cheaper ones might skip out on the selenium and zinc. So, it becomes a bit of a toss-up—do you value those extra minerals enough to justify the cost?On a personal note, I'm a fan of gummy supplements. They just make the whole routine a bit more enjoyable. But, alas, Bettervits Biotin doesn't come in that chewy, candy-like form. The pill form, though, means no added sugar or gelatine, and it keeps the stability of the supplement intact. Now, I can't give you the verdict just yet. It's early days, and I've got to give this product a fair shot. To really see the magic happen, I reckon I need to isolate it from my other supplement buddies. They say you should start noticing the good stuff within a month or so, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Let the biotin journey begin!

Do take the risk - Allergic Reactions
I don’t usually write reviews but I feel it’s important to let others be aware. I wouldn’t even give this one star, but had to for writing this review. This product has caused severe reactions on my skin, rashes that look like psoriasis and spots on my face predominantly the chin area. It appeared within one week of taking the pills, having taken it as suggested by the manufacturer. I have contacted Bettervits and their response is not compassionate. They have responded by saying that they are not able to do much in regards to this as they have tested the product and found no reasons to pose an allergy risk. They will look into refunding the product. In addition, they apparently legally disclose all common allergens on the packaging. This is not evident on the product information on Amazon and I didn’t receive the product information with the product. Its a serious reaction I am suffering with and I would recommend not purchasing it. I have never suffered from spots like these and they have left prominent marks. I have never suffered with any rash and it is so uncomfortable and I am hoping it doesn’t leave a mark as it’s so itchy too. Do not take the risk.

A natural supplement
Disclosure. This is a review of a product I was sent for free via Vine. All opinions are my own.I have purchased quite a number of supplements this year and this seems to be in the ballpark, pricewise for 2 months supply. And even more so, when you consider you are getting above 100% RI of Biotin, Selenium and Zinc.I'm not knowledgeable on supplements to understand why 24,000% RI would be required for the biotin. Seems very high. I had a quick look at when I took biotin in the past, although it is not comparable since that was in a multi-vit product, but it was 2000% RI, so this is 12 times higher.Good to see that the ingredient list is natural using just brown rice flour as a bulking agent.Haven't tried them yet, as I'm on a temporary supplement pause currently for medical reasons, but the capsule size looks easy to swallow. Expiry date 06/2025.Container is made from plants and is commercially compostable.
