These are just bright enough and really pretty in the garden!

2 parts of the ensemble were missing. Should have had 6 (white bulbs and butterflies) and 2 butterflies were not sent. Disappointing

These are very beautiful lights to be placed in a garden. However, they are in the same spot, receiving the same amount of sunlight but they last different time lengths during the night.

At roughly 26 inches long, each stake is sturdy, solid and tall enough to stand out from the ground. The butterflies are made of metal, and are multi-colored, with multi-colored lights on top. There is a little bit of assembly required, as the butterflies are placed on top of each portion of the stake (6 per stake, with a total of 2 stakes, or 12 colored/lit butterflies), and then the round plastic dome fits over the light and screws the butterfly into place.Although the metal butterflies do not illuminate on their own, the round light shines down on them to show off their attractive, pastel colors. As a result, the butterflies are colorful and vibrant during the day, as well as night. With a simple on/off switch on the bottom of each solar cell battery, both stakes worked well after their first full-day charge. These Alphatool solar powered firefly butterfly lights are heavier than some other stakes I have in my solar garden, and the units are well-made and nicely crafted.A User Manual and Assembly Guide is included. The decorative stakes/lights are waterproof from rain, with a working time of 6-8 hours, and a charging time of 6-8 hours under direct sunlight.Recommended. Made in China.

Slowing down a bit and stopping to smell the roses. I have been transforming my backyard into a peaceful sanctuary over the last few years. I keep adding to it when I see something that I might like. I saw these butterfly lights the other day and thought they would make a nice addition. I was right. I have them clumped on one side of the deck that needed a bit of color. The butterflies are painted beautifully for day use. At night, the lights come on and add more beauty to the garden. Thye lights change colors ever so slightly. The butterflies are held in place by the covers of the lightbulbs. The stake is two parts. It is easier to install the bottom of the stake first then insert the butterflies/lights part. The lights are operated by and on/off switch and also a solar panel. I tried spreading out the lights a bit but have been unsuccessful in them staying apart. I added a spacer to keep them separated.

You have to put these together which is no big deal. I wouldn't say they were bright and I wouldn't say they were dim. I think the shine bright enough and you can see them from a distance. I like them. They have several different colors. The only drawback is there are only two sets. I may need six or eight. If you have other lights as well these will make a great addition. I would suggest making a pilot hole with something like rebar unless your ground is very soft. I would not try pounding these stakes in the ground.
