Matchitecture - 6623 - Country House - Model Building Set

Only down is cutter.

I am still in the process of building the country house, have been at it for approx two months, it is a fantastic hobby, the problem with it is a lot of the microbeams are of very poor quality. If the microbeams were all of good quality, it would be great value for the money.

I am undergoing construction of this kit,and find it stimulating to work on it. I do find it is best to stop after an hour, as you are concentrating continuously.Excellent value for the cost.

Would not reccomend this product as the glue was hard and stiff and of no use.

Quick delivery, looks good. Is a christmas prezzie so unopened as yet.

First time I attempted something like this it's brilliant done loads of matches with card for strength but nothing like this

just the job if you have time and patience Will keep you occupied for for ages

I've not built a kit like this before, having done plastic kits (aircraft, motorcycles, ships etc) and wooden sailing ships. When it arrived was impressed by the plans and the system of construction but horrified at the quality of the matchsticks. Between a third and a half were unusable due to severe warping. So disappointing. Such a shame for a company to put such detail in the design and then let themselves down with bad quality control.However, having now finished construction I can report that in my kit at least there were enough matchsticks to replace the warped ones. so now feel that my original review was a little unfair.

This is my fist model I ever attempted. When I saw the picture of this beautiful house, I got really motivated, I thought to myself that would be a lot of fun to make. I was right, it is a lot of fun seeing grow into what it's supposed to be, but very hard work.l The tools that are included with the kit are not high quality at all. I had to buy all new, but the plans are awesome. They avery detailed and drawn to scale, just put the beam on the place, mark it, cut it and glue it. I have been on this project about 6 months now, ( I took about 3 months break) and now I am back on it. I pretty much completed half of the project. Right now I am finishing up the roof as the roof ans the walls are the longest, they have so much details and you have to cut each beam at the precise angel. That was the most annoying part. What I did was to make my job easier, I bout myself an angle finder and i bought a precision cutting tool, so once I have the angle, I just put it on the precision cutting tool and cut it. That saves a lot of time and aggravation. Overall I think it's a solid project and if you have patience, you will be very satisfied when it's completed.
