This thing is so amazing I almost don't have words for it
This thing is so amazing I almost don't have words for it. I have a Pyrenees mix--he's 7 mos old, 75 lbs and deep in the throes of his teenage rebellion years. The--standing on the otherside of the room giving me the 'what are you going to do about it, you'd have to catch me first" look. Pushing his boundaries, testing to see who's alpha. I have spent the last 4 weeks arguing with him about when it's time to come inside, when it's time to get in his crate, whether or not he can be on my furniture, etc. It's been hugely stressful and annoying.I bought this on a whim. He is already trained on our invisible fence and my hope was that he would respond to this similarly. HOPES SURPASSED. 2 days with this on and he is now responding to vocal commands again without any prompting from the collar. I am able to let him play in the yard with my kids and correct him if he gets too rough from afar. I only had to use the 'shock' function once and he got the picture.Mine did not come with instructions for training--so this is what I"m doing:1. Vocally correct behavior while pressing the 'beep' button. This helps him relate the correction with my voice, not just the collar so that we can move towards removing it at some point.2. If he ignores me I use the vibrate setting for 1 second. 99% of the time this immediately makes him fall in line.3. I've only used the shock function once--after he didn't respond to the vibrations on the first day. I haven't had to use it again. I recommend starting with the shock very low and adjusting it upwards until you find a setting your pup will respond to.Love this product, recommend it to ANYONE with a headstrong dog!!

It has worked wonders in less than a week for my little barker; I would highly recommend this
I don't often write reviews, but I've been working over the past year to train my puppy and all I can say is that I wish I'd purchased this device a few months into her life. She is a 13 pound Portuguese Podengo Pequeno and like many small dogs, she can be a bit yappy when there is no reason to be. I read a bunch of reviews for a variety of these products and settled on this one given the balance of ratings vs. cost. It seemed people in general were pretty happy with it. I certainly am.I tested the product pretty thoroughly on myself before placing it on her. It's a little scary waiting for the static shock to get you, but it certainly doesn't hurt. I put it on her the day after I got it (leaving it to charge first overnight) and had already adjusted both the static shock and the vibration mode to be very low since she is such a small dog. As soon as she started barking at something uncontrollably I used the beep function. It just emits a single short beep. She stopped barking - probably curious as to what the sound was. A few minutes later she started barking for no reason again. I beeped her again only this time she continued barking. I didn't shock her, but rather just used the vibration mode. She immediately stopped barking and ran a few paces confused by what had happened. This happened a few more times over the next 2-3 days. Since then, on the rare occasion that she barks for no reason, I just beep her. She instantly stops barking knowing that if she continues, the vibration will happen next. It literally just shakes the collar for a brief second. I haven't used the shock feature on her once and just the vibration mode alone has been enough to entirely change her behavior.I don't use it when she's chasing a squirrel or if someone knocks at the door, but I do use it when she just stands somewhere barking at nothing. It has entirely changed the way she acts in just a week of using it. I'm really quite astounded by the product. It works really well and I have since ordered one for a friend of mine with a similar situation. If I could change anything about it, I do wish it were a little bit harder to administer the shock/vibration/beep. I had it in my pocket once and squatted down inadvertently triggering it. I concede this was my fault, but I almost wish you had to press a button on the side AND the option you want to actually fire it off. ...a kind of safety if you will. You can adjust the vibration and shock settings on a scale from 1-100 so it's incredibly granular for your needs. The collar was very easy to trim to her size and looks as if it came that way after I cut it. The dual-wire USB charger is nice as you can charge both the receiver and transmitter at the same time. All in all I'm very happy with the product and would recommend it as a way to get started with this kind of training. The attached photo will give you an idea of what it looks like on a small dog (~13 lbs)

Yep, you've found it right here! Works great and long charge time!
So, I wanted to use this for a while before I posted a review. I researched the heck out of these, trying to find one that seemed reliable and held a good charge. I have a Husky, so... stubborn and lots of hair. But, it does the job! Fit it snug, to where you can get 2 fingers between the neck and the collar, use the long prongs for longer hair dogs like mine. I use the beep first as a warning, then the vibrate as a second warning, and as a last resort, the static shock. I can tell you my Husky learned pretty quick. Rarely do I ever need to use the shock. A beep or vibrate is usually enough to grab her attention and she's listening. This is the first time I've ever had a dog and used a shock collar. That said, I'd probably never own a dog now without one! It's helped more than I can say! Between being outside and going for a walk, and she wants to start wondering off, whining at night in her kennel, a beep and she stops. Ah, sleep! She's a puppy (9weeks) when I got the collar. Started using it right away and now when it's on her I rarely need to use it now. She's 12 weeks at the time of writing this. The charge on this collar could probably last 3-5 days. I've never had it die on me since I've owned it. I'll use it all day on the weekend, meaning it's on her and turned on, but it's still showing a full charge at night. Easy setup too! Has the option of 2 channels, if you have 2 collars. The only thing I don't care for is the collar itself. I wish they give you one with a quick connector to make it faster to put on, but it does the job. It's pretty long too, I had to cut it down a bit. I gave it some growing room. You could always purchase a separate collar with the quick connector. Don't use a leash with the collar you use for the shocker, as the prongs would dig in the skin. It does come with silicon covers, which I have one and they fit snug so they don't come off. For the money, I think this is a great buy. I almost bought the $200+ one just to make sure I'm getting a good one, but this has worked perfectly. I would buy again and again! I haven't got to test the range on it too much as she always on a leash when outside. But, I have beeped her from the bedroom and she was in the kitchen in her kennel, so it worked through the walls. After about 4 months, the collar battery seems to have died. It turns on for a little while and turns off by itself. I'm guessing the battery won't charge anymore.Update: do not leave this on your dog, apparently it was still shocking my husky even though it wasn’t being used. Now my dog has huge sores on her neck. She had to be shaved on her neck and has medicine to treat it. But, the vet said this is common with shock collars. Do not leave it on your dog if you’re not using it.
