Thule 933300 Easyfold XT 2-Bike Towbar Carrier, Black/Silver

Having read the following 1 star review from Andreas it put doubts in my mind. I checked his opinion with the e-bikeshop and they reassured me it would take my 2 step through Moustache Samedi X Trail e bikes and so I bought it. I don’t do reviews but Andreas’s comments are so misleading that I thought I had to write just to help people who like me might be put off by Andreas’s review. Simply stated, it’s a great bike rack which takes my two bikes comfortably. No problem. “This bike towbar carrier has much to recommend it: clever design; it folds for easy storage; integrated lights; the wheel straps & buckles work really well, the optional loading ramp is great for heavy e-bikes; etc. The BIG problem is that this rack will not take my e-bikes that have an open 'step through' frame, and much wider frame section. The Thule bike arms have very limited movement/ articulation. After buying the Thule Bike Frame Adapter 982, and after much trial and error, I was able to load and secure my first e-bike onto the carrier, using the long Thule bike arm. This leaves me with the short Thule bile arm, which of course cannot secure a second bike. So at the moment this bike carrier is a an expensive and useless piece of junk sitting in my garage. Either I will have to sell it at a loss, or I have to spend more money trying to get additional bike arm(s) to fit both my bikes. I also had various problems fitting the carrier onto my car and campervan - but I won't go into details here. So you need to check this carrier will a) fit your car(s) and b) fit your bikes. BUYER BEWARE - TRY BEFORE YOU BUY !”

A remarkable piece of kit. I assembled it in ten minutes on the first attempt. The only adjustment is the knob to adjust to the ball size on my Mercedes C Class estate swan neck tow bar. This required the maximum adjustment, otherwise it just folds out to produce a superb carrier for two ebikes although I think it would not suit an an electric bike where the battery is built into the post below the bike seat as this is the main anchoring point to the carrier. Also you need to order a 7 pin to 13 pin adaptor for the tow bar electrics (widely available) if you have a standard UK tow bar. I am 66 and not very fit but had no difficulty lifting the carrier onto the tow ball and disassembling. The bike ramp is also very useful as each electric bike is significantly heavier than the carrier and would have been a struggle to lift. The fold down facility to allow access to the rear gate of an estate car is really elegant and simple to use. I really can't fault this equipment for carrying heavy electric bikes.

Looks like quality, well made piece of kit!! I have fitted it onto the toe-ball just to make sure it does actually fit, with only a small amount of an adjustment so that it grips the ball securely!! Not actually used it to transport my EMTB any where yet,, when I do, I will review again!👍

An excellent and convenient carrier, and a good price from Amazon. Many towbar companies charge more for it. I was concerned about where to store a carrier when not in use, but this folds up and fits in a corner of the garage. It is very quick and easy to set up and quite easy fix the bikes on, though you may have to fiddle with the frame holders a bit to get the optimum position. One ebike would not fit on the recommended inner position because the short arm would not reach the available frame region, but it was OK on the outer position. Seems to work fine with the very heavy ebike (25kg) plus one standard bike. Not tried 2 ebikes yet, but should be OK according to given weight limits. I have always been put off getting a towbar + carrier because of the expense, cannot manage a roof carrier, and hated the fiddly “hanging off the boot” carriers. Honda Civic won’t take the latter anyway because of the hatchback glass design. Covid19 entrapment persuaded me to bite the bullet, and I am very pleased with the sheer convenience and simplicity of detachable towbar/foldable carrier system

We wanted an easy to install, easy to use and robust carrier for our two ebikes. After much deliberation and research we decided on this Thule model and are we so glad that we did! I was surprised at how easy it was to install and how easy it is to use. However on consideration should i have been surprised by the quality of a Swedish product? No not really. Ok it is not cheap but you rarely get quality and cheap in the same sentence. Absolutely delighted with the Thule carrier.

This rack must be the best e-bike rack on the market. It may not be the cheapest but having ordered a cheapest rack at first and found within an hour the adjuster was useless I send it back to Amazon and ordered this one instead. It arrives fully assembled and is so easy to fit to either my Motorhome Towbar or my BMW X5. It folds up into a very neat package and then fits into my boot. In conclusion you get what you pay for and this is worth every penny.

After years of lifting bikes onto car roofs and bike racks that hang on your tailgate or boot lid (effectively making the boot redundant) I have seen the light!!! Easy to use and I mean easy, bikes are so secure and above all stable. Don’t like the look of where you have parked? No problem, just fold and unhitch carrier and put it in the boot. Loaded bikes on and want to put something in the boot? No problem just press foot on carrier and lower bikes out of the way to access boot, amazing. It’s not cheap, but this is definitely the way to go. We put 2 Cube ebikes on, and when it’s going to be to much to put them on you can get a ramp to wheel them on. Did I mention the light bar? No issues of bikes obscuring indicators/brake lights etc keeping you safe.

Can't say more highly of it, worth every penny. Other carriers I would be checking at the back of my car loads of times but this one just once in a while. Great peace of mind and I would fully recommend to anyone

Gestern meine erste Ausfahrt. Bin schon sehr begeistert, toller u. funktionsvoller Fahrradträger. Macht Spass. Gutes Handling und sofort betriebsbereit, abschliesbar und für ein normales Autokupplungssystem sehr gut geeignet. Ein normales Damen E-Bike und ein Fully E-Bike sind kein Problem und passen locker auf den Träger. Ich benutze kein Frame Adapter da die zwei Befestigungsstützen ohne weiteres gut passen und ausreichend sind. Aber zusätzlich sind ja noch die Befestigungsbänder am Träger die über die Felgen fixiert werden. Die Fahrradbühne ist auch ausreichend die Ebikes passen gut in die Vertiefungen was auch noch zusätzlich die Lenker stabilisiert. Das mit dem zusammenklappen ist eine tolle Idee und spart eine menge Platz leicht zu transportieren kann man sogar mit aufs Hotelzimmer nehmen. Bei der ersten Ausfahrt , Achtung, Nummernschild nicht vergessen und Lichtkontrolle durchführen. Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden und freue mich auf die nächste Ausfahrt. Ohne weiteres 5*

Very disappointed to receive my bike rack which won’t fit onto an Australian standard tow ball and the lights plug is an EU style with no adapter included for conversion to an Australian flat 7 pin plug Would appreciate any help that could be offered or I will need you return the product

Ottimo acquisto per 2 ebike Giant Abbiamo 2 ebike Giant Trance E3, il portabici sembra fatto apposta per loro, le 2 pinze di fissaggio vanno a posizionarsi in modo egregio nella parte fissa dell’ammortizzatore centrale, bloccando perfettamente le bici e tenendole a dovuta distanza Le cinghie laterali bloccano bene le ruote e i pneumatici anche se grandi sono ben accolti nella sede del Thule easyfold Che dire robusto comodo da montare e molto pratico Sono molto soddisfatto

Habe ihn erst 2x gebraucht und bin super bestens zufrieden - ist echt Frauentauglich, schnell und einfach zu montieren, einmal aufklappen und fertig👍🏼
