the original Anbernic 556 joystick are okay but GuliKit Switch Joysticks, makes a very good retro gaming system to a great great system. At first when I seen the video on you tube I thought right okay but it true they do make the system better

I love that I was able to fix two devices with this one purchase. I have 13th at old twin sons and they love their games. One of my sons has a switch lite, and the other has a regular switch. The switch lite had the left stick completely break off and I was able to use what was provided to replace the joystick. I will say that it is more useful to have a set of precision tweezers (metal) as the plastic one provided can get clunky. With the regular Switch, the installation is a little more difficult as this controller is small and removable. This machine had drift, which many are familiar with. This product solved this issue completely. IT IS MANDATORY TO CALIBRATE THE JOYSTICKS AFTER INSTALL!! This is an easy process and can be done in the settings. I feel like I rescued two expensive machines right from the comfort of my own kitchen table. I saved money over taking them to a “repair” shop and my sons were so happy to have their devices back.Useful tips:1: lay out a kitchen towel to work on as the screws are extremely small, and this will help them from rolling off the table.2: Make sure you have a nice bright light to work under. The insides of these devices are a maze of fragile ribbon connectors and extremely small and fragile parts.3: find a detailed tutorial video on YouTube, and watch it SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE you attempt to do the repair yourself.4: Keep the video up WHILE you are repairing to ensure you do not skip steps.5: Use your phones camera to take photos of where things are connected BEFORE disconnecting them. Use these photos for reference if you get stuck.Good luck. You can do it.

I accidentally dropped my Switch last week and broke one of the joysticks. I found this kit through their YouTube tutorial, and have to say this kit is excellent. It has everything you need to take the switch apart, including the small screwdrivers and extra screws (definitely came in handy, I lost one of my screws in the process and was able to use one of the provided extras). ALSO PRO TIPS: Watch the YouTube video on half speed, this helps while you’re working. Once you install the new joysticks, go to the switch settings and calibrate the joysticks!

I bought these after trying to figure out what the best option for Joy Con replacements was and believed these to be the best. Immediately after installing them there was already small amounts of drift on the right hand stick, which went away after a quick flick but would occasionally crop up. I set the console down for a bit after finishing TotK's main story, then came back to find the the issue had somehow become worse with no use, to the point that whenever the stick wasn't in use it would begin to show similar or worse drift to the OEM option. Even the left stick started to do the same. I just bought a fresh set of joycons and when they display the same issues I'll look elsewhere for my next repair attempt.

My only warning is to watch a good video if youre not used to projects like this.I accidentally ripped the part for the ribbon off the board and had to hire a professional to fix it.The product itself however worked great, just needed to recalibrate it

I had replaced my Switch's joysticks for a few times and none of them last long and the drifting came back sooner than you know, but not with this Gulikit Switch Joystick Replcement. I am really impressed with this joystick replacement and have been using my Switch for several months and literally with no drift at all. I am very happy with this product and will recommend this to anyone who needs it.

TL;DR - Works really well with proper installation, but be careful or you'll brick your switch LiteAs the headline suggests and many other reviews attest to these things work. Installation is simple on a Switch Joy con you just need the right tools and a delicate touch. The only reason I didn't give this item 5 stars is because of the risk when installing this item on a Switch Lite. First off you're only going to want to replace the left joy con on the Lite. Getting to the right stick involves opening up the Lite and almost taking it apart entirely. Replacing the left stick is almost as simple as replacing the stick on a regular Joy con. HOWEVER, you will be working in close proximity to the ribbon cable that links the power/volume buttons to the rest of the Switch, and it must be disconnected in order to replace the joy con. If not reinstalled correctly, OR you damage it in anyway your power button won't work. There is also the risk of damaging the hardware to the point where your switch won't even charge. I have ordered a replacement ribbon wire in the hopes that it will allow my Lite to boot up again but I believe something else must have broken because it shows no signs of life even when plugged in (and yes, I've tried all the power button pushing tricks). The battery was fine as well and was fully charged when I turned off my Lite to replace the hardware.

Easy to install and it was worth the extra couple bucks for the tools, comes with everything you need for the install. Just use the install guide from ifixit and go slow and read each step carefully. Don't forget to do a manual calibration in the switch settings when you're done and say goodbye to stick drift.
