The current gel wrist rests that are premade are too short to meet the angles that my wrists rest at while typing. Most wrist rests are either the same or just slightly larger than a laptop board. After trying at least six different variations, all specifically designed for use of people with carpal tunnel surgery, I finally bought this to make my own. The gel was easy to cut with scissors, and I currently have A makeshift cover until I have time to sew a removable cover that may be washed. I’m very glad the gel comes in a plastic wrap because this stuff is very sticky and having the plastic wrap which I re-wrapped with my own kitchen wrap for extra protection, allows me to slide the temporary cover off and on. I’m very happy with the 2cm gel thickness as well, just right for my keyboard and mouse. Yay!!!

It is extremely sticky but it's easy to work with. If you can get away with it, don't remove the wrap because it wont work. Cut it out you piece(s) then wrap the whole thing in saran wrap.

This is a god product as a gel pad. Although when cutting the material to fit the edges are very sticky for some this could be seen as a good thing for me I'm skeptical if down the road the product is going to melt in the heat. The cushions is good. The weight was fair. having used other products of the me design in the past this seemed to be ore dense granted denseness doesn't always transfer to durability but often is just seen as hard. Having installed this in an arm rest ill update as time goes of any changes

It does seem it would work for a motorcycle seat, but I wouldn't know. I have used it in multiple ways, none of which involve seating. The best use I've found is an "out of the box" one, and it works well. I had surgery on my arm about a year ago for an injury. A nerve was "repositioned" as a result of the tendon repair. It left the thumb side of my lower forearm very reactive to touch. It felt like an electric shock when touched. I often use a percussion massager after workouts. At even the lowest speed, the massager was too painful to use on my forearm, so I came up with a solution. With great difficulty (more on that in a bit), I "wrapped" the massager ball with the gel. It softened the impact to the point I was able to use it on my arm. The "electric" feeling in my arm has thankfully dissipated and is almost normal again. It may be due to time, but it may also be the result of continued massage with my massager adaptation. I also use the adapted massager on my neck, but would not recommend doing so until you consult a doctor. So, with the great success I've had, why just 4 stars? It's because the material, once you remove the plastic or cut it*, the material is incredibly STICKY ( *the edges after cutting). I've stretched it in the different applications, but it "crawls" back to it's original dimensions at a speed that would leave a very fast snail in a cloud of dust. Take another half star away for its price. It's very costly for what you get, so when ordering, pay attention to the size, including thickness.

I got this to replace armrest padding on my beloved office chair. Tricky to cut. Who knew gel pads is the same stuff in those sticky throw-against-wall toys? It is pretty comical to try and handle something that is so sticky yet releases clean. You definitely need to wrap this in fabric or plastic to use. Unless it is prank time!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is a great gel pad. It does not pack down. It is solid, not a liquid gel so it can be cut to a smaller size if needed. Quality: Great
