Euro 2016 was the first major competition that Wales have reached the 'finals' of since 1958. And didn't we make up for lost time! The team were incredible and lived up to the motto together.stronger. As for the fans! well they did Wales proud, I doubt there's many of the various locations we played at that will forget 'the Welsh'! and we will be remembered with a smile. About the song.... apparently Newcastle Utd started this one off, it was then heavily adopted by the English fans, but for them it seemed to be a self fulfilling prophecy as they got knocked out by the footballing giants of Iceland way before the Welsh exit! :) In the meantime... Don't take me home became a massive adopted anthem for the Welsh, logical really... *on hols, *watching our beloved wales, *drinking beer! no brainer! it was surely written by a Welsh Geordie!!! In the end we sang it all the way to the semi-final where we reached the end of the road! No truth in the rumour that we rolled over for Ronaldo and his mates as Coleman could see that our fans had run out of dosh and liver damage was potentially a big issue! and he needs our great support for the world cup campaign!! Oh and the mug - well it's of excellent quality, vibrant colour, dishwasher / microwave friendly and is standard mug size - and if you put your ear to it (when empty!!) you can here *Welsh fans singing: Please don't take me home, I just don't want to go to work, I wanna stay here, drink all your beer, please don't please don't take me home!! *OK You have to use a little imagination for this!!
