Q: Can you see the lighted up Apple through the case when the laptop is on?

Not at all-- I have a MacBook Air and bought the fake wood pattern. Honestly, I prefer it that way though. In certain lights it is possible to make out the apple logo underneath, but you have to look hard.

Yes, I got the water color one and you can still see the logo in all types of light. In daylight it’s less obvious, but still visible.
