Less Guide more general info
This is an odd book to review really. I struggle to see exactly who the target audience was in regards to fabricators. On the one hand some of the information provided is 101 type stuff... safety, basic tools, different kinds of resin/fabrics/etc... that takes up the majority of the book. Another portion is a much more advanced level, production style bit of information (things someone picking up this book likely doesn't have access to or have the skillset or even need to use)There is absolutely some good information in this book, the section on plugs and the one on molds stick out as highlights, but my guess is for most people looking at this book you'll not get what you were looking for... for learning/examples of general composites you're probably better off with Wanberg's books, and for high performance vehicles you're not going to come away with much in the "how to" department.

This book, although a little outdated, has some timely suggestions and is worth the price for the layman.

brilliant
i am just reading through this now. i know very little about composites, and find this book to be an excellent overview of the subject for a beginner. it is particularly well written, making it very comfortable to read. i think that experienced people looking for detailed description of advanced techniques should look for something else.

Really well done
I'm a complete amateur in fiberglass and was looking for basic instruction. Youtube videos are good, but they frequently leave out information critical to success of a project. The explanations and step-by-step photos in this book were just what I needed. I'm ready to get to work.

buyers need to see a contents listing
This book is the lastest item about glassfiber creations published in 2006, the majority of other books were published in the 1990's that's quite some time ago. Materials and methods of working always change, but where is the contents page to see whats covered inside? How can a buyer make a decision to buy on just a fancy book cover? The author or publisher should add a mandatory review for their readers?
